Chapter 90 - Why are you crying?

Start from the beginning

But that didn't make sense if he liked her so I kind of just shrugged it off. Maybe they had a couple's fight or something.

Other than that one time, I hadn't seen him in person. If someone were to comment, it seem like that I was being actively avoided. Which may be the case but I wouldn't know since I was kind of busy doing the same thing.

I was a coward after all.

After finishing off another round of bashing each other virtually, I dropped my controller and gave Aiden my full attention. The man had been trying to talk to me about this clusterfuck but I played the avoidance card for an entire card.

It was about time I confronted it head on.

"Look," I sighed out. "Can you blame me for being uber depressed for a month? I basically cut out the love of my life for the sake of surviving, which ended up being pointless since I still wake up crying every second day."

"I don't blame you," Aiden replied. "I'm just saying it's about time you move on from it. We both move on from it. What's happened, happened and now we can't do much about it. It's not helping just ruminating over it."

"Easier said than done, Assden."

The other just rolled his eyes. "Yeah I know, Nemo. But it's not like you're actively trying to get over it. You're quite literally going to bed and sobbing about it."

"Well, what should I do, oh wise one?"

Aiden smiled mischievously and I immediately regretted asking.

"Why, I'm glad you asked. Let's set you up for a blind date!"

"A... blind date?"

"Yep." Aiden looked so proud of his stupid idea.

"You want me to go on a blind date...?"

"Yes. I don't get why you're repeating like you don't understand. I'm speaking in English, aren't I?"

Nero pinched his forehead. "Let me get this straight. You want me to go on a date for a rebound to get over Leo?"

"Uhhh yes."

"That's a bad idea on so many levels."

"What?! Why?"

"Because one, it's not fair on the other person considering they would be going for someone legit and not for a rebound, and two, I don't think a rebound would ever help me get over Leo. In fact, I'm pretty sure I will never fall for anyone else."

Aiden rolled his eyes again. "I'll just tell the date beforehand how you got your heart broken recently and it may be iffy with you initially. If they're cool with it, problem solved. As for your second problem, you're just being dramatic. You don't know if you're ever going to fall for anyone else or not. Doesn't hurt to try though. Who knows? Maybe your soulmate is on shady Grindr."

"You're also really bad with matchmaking and I doubt my blind date will be any good."

Aiden gasped as if I insulted his entire family tree (if he liked them) and went to punch me in the shoulder. I dodged it to the side and flicked his forehead. Blue rubbed his forehead indignantly and replied, "My matchmaking is great! You're just picky as fuck. Don't insult me and my ways."

I rolled my eyes at his antics. It's amazing how my eyes haven't just settled at the back of my head with the amounts of rolling it does with my best friend. "Get over it, you drama queen. I'm not doing your stupid idea."

"You're going to that blind date."

"No I'm not."

"Yes you are"
