抖阴社区r's block feels like drowning. You know how to swim... in your brain but your limbs just won't follow through with it. I can't even use studying as an excuse because college just started and surprisingly I can manage with a little stress so I do have the time. But I am rather sinking in sorrow than fulfilling my dreams.
My fingers hover over the 26 letters which could bring me everything I have ever wanted.
26 letters to create entire universes in which everything I say is the law.
I am the law, the ruler of empires and here I am just another depressed teen in a way overpriced apartment I can't even afford without working my ass off and the help of people I run away from.Nobody will remember you.
Nobody will remember.
Nobody will.
Nobody."Aleandra?"
I startle as my bedroom door flies open."Emmabell," I yell as I spin around my stool.
"What?" She asks with a shoulder shrug and throws herself on my tiny bed.
"Knocking." I grit out.
She doesn't respond, just props herself up on her elbows, smiling at me.
"I am bored. What are you doing?"
"I am doing nothing but I would like to write," I say, staring at the empty document on the computer.
"Maybe that's a sign from your body that you should take a break. You're doing too much. Stress is not good for you. Actually, stress is not good for anyone so... chill a little bit and live your life." She says and sits up on the mattress.
"I can't be stressed, I am not doing anything. I haven't written a sentence today." I groan out, going with my hands through my hair frustrated.
The skin of my head burns from all the pulling, a way of punishing myself.
"Yeah, because what you did the last days and months was crazy. The entire summer you stayed in your room, learned new accents, and wrote hundred thousands of words. And yes, you were out twice the last weeks but otherwise, you wrote, looked for jobs, or worked on your book. You need a break." Her voice softens.
"What I need is to finish this book," I reply, sadness erupting in my stomach.
"Aleandra, come here." She demands and before I can react she pulls me on the bed with her.
She clears her throat like she is about to give an important speech and I raise my brows at her."I know... you think you didn't do enough and I know you wish you could just bring down everything you think in seconds on paper but that's not possible. Not for you and not for any other author. You are working so hard and you did such an amazing job the last weeks. I believe in you and I know that one day we both will be incredibly successful but you can't rise if the stress pulls you to the ground.
A little stress is good, it keeps you on edge and brings you further but not this permanent one. Take a break, only for a few days... and only from writing because you need to get away from it for a moment-"
"But I-"
"No but. I know you love it and I am happy about that but after the little break, you can write more than before because you will be way more energetic and happy. It won't do any good if you just stare the entire day on the screen and feel bad for not writing, ok?"She stands up and I want to stop her but before I can she has already closed the laptop.
Then she comes back to me and presses a kiss on the top of my head.
"Ok?"
"Yeah, ok. You won, thank you, babe." I say, smiling at her softly.
