"We're not on first name basis," Tommy explains.
"Well I'm not letting you speak to her until you use her actual name," Isla huffs, going to sit on Jemimas knee to stop her from moving, as the woman raised an eyebrow at Tommy.
"Fine," Tommy sighs, "Jemima, can I talk to you about my sister?"
"What'd you think?" Jemima says to Isla.
"He didn't say please." Isla scoffs.
"Please may I talk to you about my sister, Jemima?" Tommy asks.
"You may," Jemima smiles as he shoots her a look of annoyance, Isla happily removes herself from Jemimas lap, allowing her to stand up and follow Tommy into the kitchen.
"What's wrong with Ada?" Jemima queries.
"Did you know she was going to elope with Freddie?" Tommy questions.
"Her and Freddie got married?" Jemima says and he nods.
"That's brilliant," Jemima states.
"No, no it's not," Tommy replies, "it's actually the opposite of brilliant."
"How? You said you wouldn't want her to go through this alone, she won't be." Jemima shrugs, "the father came back, what's not good about that?"
Tommy looks slightly guilty as she stares at him, "Thomas? Why don't you want Freddie back?"
"That's irrelevant." Tommy says, "do you know where they are?"
"No, and even if I did I wouldn't tell you, I don't trust you not to fuck things up." Jemima replies.
Tommy smirks as he looks down at her, "if you do know, trust me, Morrigan, I have plenty of ways to make you tell me."
"Going to torture me Peaky style?" Jemima retorts.
"No, my style. If any other Peaky uses this method of torture on you, I'll take their eyes." Tommy says, "or John will, probably more likely," he added as an afterthought.
"I really don't know, and I didn't know about the wedding." Jemima says earnestly.
"I'm choosing to believe you," Tommy replies, leaning down to whisper in her ear, "if I find out you've lied to me, the things I'll do to you will only make you hate me even more."
"And what if I say no, Thomas? Then what?" Jemima says, inhaling sharply when he nibbles at the skin on her neck.
"On the off chance you do, I would obviously not pursue you in that manner," Tommy replies, "I don't need to take what I can get quite easily."
"Calling me easy now?" Jemima scoffs, pushing him off her.
"You are the opposite of easy, it's thrilling and a fucking pain in the arse." Tommy states.
He knew he shouldn't. But he had the overwhelming urge to bring up the scene he'd walked into at the pub.
He hated it. He hated the jealousy that had sparked in him when he'd seen Daniels holding her hand, and cupping her face. He hated that he'd expected her to be over that prick.
He just hoped she wouldn't be stupid enough to go back to him. He had to know if she'd go back to him, if nothing more than so he'd be more sure to control the urges he got whenever he was around her.
Her presence surrounded and suffocated him in a way he didn't think possible, sometimes it was frustrating, other times he sought comfort in it. Purposely pissing her off so she'd have a reason to speak to him.
"So, how's Daniels?" Tommy asks.
"Logan? He's alright." Jemima says.
"Seemed it." Tommy replies.
"I was just returning his stuff, got an issue with that?" Jemima remarks.
"Just returning his stuff?" Tommy repeats, slight amusement in his tone, "sure looked like it."
"I was, not that it's actually any of your business." Jemima replies.
"It is, he's shagged Maggie Stark, he's shagged you. I've shagged you. Lord knows what Maggie could have." Tommy says.
"He hasn't touched Maggie," Jemima states.
"Did he tell you that?" Tommy replies, and her stern expression falters, "yes."
"I wouldn't take his word for it." Tommy says.
"How would you know?"
"When I paid him a visit, she was there half naked, hickeys across her chest, and her lipstick was all over his neck." Tommy shrugs, "still want to go back to him?"
"I wasn't going to go back to him," Jemima replies, "I'm not fucking stupid. I might love him, but I'd be foolish to trust him again."
"You looked pretty comfortable with him." Tommy says, opting to ignore the slight burn he felt when he hears her confess her love for another man.
It's not that he even wanted her. He just didn't really want anyone else to have her. Especially a prick like Logan Daniels.
"A moment of weakness," Jemima responds, "why on earth do you care that much?"
"Did the comment about sexual health not make it clear?" Tommy retorts.
"Fine, on the off chance, I just won't shag you again, problem solved." Jemima says.
"I never said that." Tommy replies.
"And you call me easy," Jemima scoffs.
"I don't just shag anyone, Morrigan." Tommy says, "but for you? Oh fucking hell, I'd be foolish not to be easy."
"What does that mean?" Jemima replies, looking at him amused as she takes a step closer to him, placing her hand gently on his stomach.
"Go on," Jemima encourages, softly trailing her hand up his torso, making him tilt his head back, "tell me, Thomas. What exactly do you mean by that?"
"It means that you are for me, what I am for you." Tommy groans.
"Expand." Jemima states, "I want to hear you say it."
"Fine, you're the best I've ever had." Tommy admits, "happy?"
"Extremely," Jemima says, stepping away from him, turning around to walk away.
"Where are you going?"
"We've established I have no knowledge about your sister, isn't that what you wanted to talk about?" Jemima replies.
"Fuck you," Tommy says.
"Watch that mouth, Thomas." Jemima warns, "else something that those lips like touching, might not be permit them to touch it again."
Tommy let's out a light chuckle, running his hand over his mouth, "you're enjoying this, aren't you?"
He walks towards her, "let's see how much you enjoy it when I have you completely and utterly at my mercy, eh?"
"If I remember correctly, you were the one begging and thanking me." Jemima states.
"Is that so?" Tommy says, "is Max here tonight?"
"No, he's staying at Levins with Isla." Jemima tells him.
Tommy places his cap on his head, "good."
