"Am not!"
"Amelie," Isaac said firmly. "Please, just think for once. Wouldn't coming back here do more harm than good? You have a life in Beacon Hills, you should stay."
"Stop being so wise," Amelie grumbled making the Beta chuckle. She could hear his breathing shallow through the speaker before she spoke again. "I think I'll go to the hospital today."
"Are you sure?" Isaac's voice tightened. "You ready?"
"It's now or never," She sighed, "Can't avoid it forever, right? And with everything going on here, it looks like I'll be at the hospital more than usual."
"Right... Well, I'm going to sleep," Isaac hummed. "Tell me how it goes with your ghost."
"Sure."
With that, Amelie dropped the phone on her chest and stared at the ceiling. Was Isaac right about staying? Technically, she had nothing to stay for— if you don't count Karly. She could easily join any school in Paris, so what was holding her back?
She sighed as his name crossed her mind for the millionth time that day alone. How did she let him have this effect on her? If he asked, she would grab her heart out of her chest and give it to him. No matter if she bled out in front of him and begged for her heart back, as long as she could see his smile.
She hated this.

The hospital was in its usual chaotic state. Nurses running around the hallways, patients being carried to operating rooms and so forth. Amelie certainly didn't miss the nights where she had to wait for her mom to finish work so she could drive her home, or the few nights she slept over ( one of them being the night Stiles was missing ).
As soon as she entered the hospital, a part of her told her to turn around and head home. It was Friday— the day before the PSATs, so everyone would be home studying whatever they can to get a reasonable grade, apart from Lydia who had taken it her freshman year. There would be no one to catch her if she fell.
But, she wouldn't. She wouldn't let her demise be the same of her father's. She would bring him honor— the same he did her. She would fight tooth and nail just to make sure that Matthew would hurt no one else, even if it did steal a part of her.
Angela Simone's words echoed in her mind— create your own blueprint. How? She had no clue, but she wouldn't stop until she did. As she entered the elevator, heading to the third floor where the morgue was, her heart began to hammer against her ribs.
Lilac eyes flashed as soon as the elevator door opened and her feet guided her to the morgue. This would be the last time she would enter that retched place— she hoped. The rotting smell of death filled her senses when she swung open the morgue's doors and spotted the familiar ghost sitting on one of the metal tables.
At the sound of the doors opening, the long haired man turned around, an amused smirk etched on his face, making her scowl at him. "Come to take your revenge?" He mused, pushing himself off the table.
"You can say that."
Matthew chuckled, shaking his head as he took a step closer to the girl who didn't budge. "I can explain—"
"Actually, I'd prefer not," She faked a smile. "I've come all the way from France to do one thing— and that's to get rid of you once and for all."
"Funny how Fin said the exact same thing."
"You keep my father's name out of your mouth," She snapped, her fists clenching till her nails dug painfully into her palms.
