Chapter 1

"So, let's have a look at that wound, shall we?"

Your cheeks grew hot as his fingers reached the hem of his tunic and swiftly pulled the fabric over his head. He noticed you staring and responded with a sly smirk and a sultry wink.

"Don't get too turned on, __f/n__; can't have you falling in love with me, now can we?" You were quite sure that your blush could be seen from outer space at that point. Link began laughing hysterically, and pointed at your flushed cheeks.

"Oh my gods, you should see the look on your face right now, __f/n__! Ahahaha!" You pouted for a moment before joining in with him, filling the alcove with a chorus of light-hearted laughter.

The laughter, however, ceased once you noticed the bandage wrapped around Link's torso begin to show tinges of dark crimson.

"Link, careful! Your wound is reopening!" you gasped with concern. He looked down and his eyes widened at the sight.
"Come here," you sighed gently, grabbing his hand with care and leading him into mystical spring. You both sat down in the cool, shallow water; it barely reached your seated hips. You glanced at the wound momentarily before bringing your eyes back up to meet Link's.

"I'm going to have to take the bandages off now. It'll probably sting quite a bit." you admitted, not wanting to be dishonest with him. He gave you a courageous grin and a thumbs up in reply.

"It's okay __f/n__, if I could defeat the-"

"-Lord of Evil, then you can handle anything, I get it." you interrupted with a playful roll of your eyes. He laughed lightly at your interjection then settled down waiting for you to tend to his wounds. You hesitated for a moment before finally reaching around and unfastening the cloth bindings and tearing it off of Link's wound as gingerly as possible. He suppressed a yelp and tightened his fists until his knuckles turned white.

You gave him one last apologetic glance before tearing it off the main part of the gash, which consequentially also tore off the scabs protecting the nasty injury; the yelp he had been containing escaped as a horrific shriek of pain. You said nothing, but delicately eased his now trembling body into the soothing waters. The mystical spring's healing properties soon numbed the pain in the hero's abdomen before it disappeared completely. He looked down to see that the once raw and bleeding slash had been closed, with only a slight scar remaining.

"Thank you, __f/n__. I don't know what I'd do without you." His beguiling eyes found yours once again, and you shyly looked down into the rippling waters before replying.

"It's nothing, Link; the water did all the work, and you already knew of its healing properties. I just forced you here." You chuckled meekly, and thought of how much the spring water's blue tint reminded you of Link's gorgeous hues. His warm hand found your chin and gently turned your head so he could meet your (__e/c__) eyes once again.

"But if you hadn't forced me to come here, then I probably would have just continued on working with that injury, and I honestly don't know how much longer I could have endured that," he admitted with a soft, warm smile. "Also, I'm really glad that I finally get some time alone with you... It's been so long since we've sat down and talked like this, huh?" He grinned down at you. You returned his smile, before looking down and remembering that you two were still sitting in the spring.

"Goddess, we'll both catch colds if we stay in here much longer." You leaped out of the water and onto the shore.

"Let's head over to my house so we can get you in a change of clothes and I'll make you some dinner. I-If you want that is..." Your shy eyes fluttered down to the water yet again. "I'd love that." he nodded and rose carefully out of the water, before turning to you with a confused expression. "Wait, since when are my clothes at your house?" he questioned.
