?Thirteen?

He got up when he noticed that I was standing right in front of him. He smiled at me and pulled me to him.

"You know I love you right?" He asked.

"Yeah?" I was confused on why he asked me that.

"Good" he said kissing my forehead.

It was already two so I put on my shoes and got my purse to leave for work.

"Good luck" Jai said as he walked out the house with me. "I love you" He kissed my forehead. He got into his car and I got to mine. We went our separate ways.

I got to work and parked my car in my assigned space. I really like it here. Not everyday is modeling and stuff. We have meetings and the meetings always turn out to be a bit boring and very long because not everyone thinks the same way.

I made a couple of good friends here, like Kelly, Sydney, Alexa, Robert, Logan, Nick, and others.

We are a big family here. This meeting is suppose to be important, or at least that's what they said it was and that they wanted all of us there.

I was a bit early since I was the second person here. Logan was already sat on his seat with his head down. I sat next to him but didn't say anything. He looked up, and when he realized it was me and smiled and sat up.

"Thank god you're here! I've been here for like twenty minutes" he groaned. I laughed.

"Why so early?" I asked laughing.

"I thought it was time so I left without looking at the time."

"Stupid" I laughed.

"Do you know what the meeting is about?" He asked

"No" I shrugged. "but it's important" I looked at him. "apparently?"

"Yeah, Melissa sent me like twenty messages telling me about the meeting. I got a tad annoyed" he rolled his eyes.

"I think she did that to everyone" I laughed.

We talk for a while and people starting coming in. After everyone was in we began the meeting.

"First matter of business, the new line is choosing two girls and two guys to be their models...." Melissa started talking about how they want to see how we do in times when we get pressured so we will have two weeks of that non-stop shoots.

Two hours later we had a fifteen minute break and thank god that I had my phone to message Steph to bring me something to eat. She did on time this time. Last time she came an hour later and I was kind of pissed but they let me eat it during the meeting.

"If you get the job, you'll have to live in California, Los Angeles so be exact for 6 to 12 months. After that you can choose to continue or come back home So out of the twelve, only four will be lucky enough to do this amazing opportunity." Melissa continue, everyone got excited about it. I actually want to do this now, it got everyone's attention. Mostly mine.

It was seven already so we were let free. Sitting for four hours is kind of boring.

I went home but on the way home I stopped for ice cream cause I've been craving ice cream.

I sit down eating my ice cream looking outside when I notice Jai walking with some girl. I couldn't really see her face but they seem a bit too close for my liking.

This ice cream parlor is five minutes away from his house. He didn't come in, they just kept walking.

I sat there looking at my ice cream, don't get into any conclusions Heather.

We did the two weeks for the photoshoot and it was a lot of work and stressful. When I told Jai that we would move to L.A if we won but he wasn't supportive of that. He told me to not even do it because I would be wasting my time. He also said I wasn't good enough for that. Which kind of really hurt when he said it. He didn't talk to me for a week.

I also asked him about the girl he was with and he said it was his 'cousin' that came from 'Sydney'

Guess who rebelled on Jai's opinion and did the shoots anyways.

Yeah, he doesn't know that I did it so I hope he doesn't find out. I wanted to see if I would ever get the job, but if I did I would turn it down.

Today is when we know who is getting the job, well... they have to call us.

I've been waiting for this day to come. I'm overwhelmed. If I don't get the job I don't care, it's not like I was going to do it anyways. But you know I wanted to know if I was good enough. I actually wanted to go to California but I don't want to leave my life back here.

"What's this?" Jai asked showing me a big package.

I looked at it carefully. Shit! I thought they were going to call us.

"Not sure" I said grabbing the package.

"Open it" he said.

"It's nothing important" I place the package down.

"If you don't open it I'll open it"

He grabbed the package, he looks a bit pissed. He rips the package open and out falls out papers and more papers.

I scan the papers for the one letter I want to know if I got the job or not.

Jai picked up a piece of paper, his eyes scanned the paper.

"You got accepted for this years modeling in California" he said looking at the paper. "when I specifically told you not to do it" he sounded hurt.

"I wasn't going to go, I'm not going. I just wanted to see if I ever got the job, which I did but I rather be here with you" I looked at him.

He sighed. "I have to go" he said putting the paper down.

"Jai, I'm not taking the offer" I said looking at him.

He just walked out without saying anything. I would be happy for him if it were him but he took it differently.

I picked up the letter.

Dear Heather,

This letter is saying that you have been accepted to this years interns for some of our companies in America. This is a great opportunity for you and your career. We have seen your work and we can say that it is what we are looking for. Contact us if you have any questions. We want a answer by next week.

I reread the paper. Too bad I'm not going. I would go only if Jai came with me.

I sat down and didn't know what to do. I waited till my mom got home and told her I got it but I don't know if I should go or not. She said it was up to me. I also didn't tell her that Jai wasn't very supportive because she would say the opposite of him and would want me to go.

I looked at the paper.

I call the agency to tell them my answer.
