"I'VE GOT YOU"

"ah professor l/n just the teacher i was looking for." professor mcgonagall called, you turned back carrying some parchment paper back to your class.

"minerva, what can i do for you?" you asked the newest headmaster.

"could you take over some of professor lupin's class? he's gotten himself in a bit of a state and we need someone to take over his class urgently." she asked.

"of course! is there anything else that needs mentioning?" you said.

"that's the only concern i have, thank you for doing that y/n." she said, nodding kindly at you before walking off.

you looked at your watch, classes would start soon. you remember the times in which you had a free period, that would be the times that lupin would be teaching. you entered the defence class, seeing the 4th year class taking their seats.

"professor l/n, where's professor lupin?" a student asked.

"hi everybody, professor lupin's has had something to attend to, so that means i will be your teacher for a while." you said.

some students mumbled, they knew that you were quite good at the defence against the dark arts, some people had speculated that you were neck and neck with professor snape. you were both always head to head in applying for this job but was all in friendly competition which even some of the teachers were left quite shocked.

severus was friendly with a teacher?

uncalled for.

no one had known you two were seeing one another, that part was kept quite private.

during your 4th year class, you had focused on the counter curse with this class, helping them out with all types of counter curses. some had found it entertaining, some struggled but you managed to help them.

you set out 2 pieces of parchment paper on two counter curses of their choice.

once the class was over you set out to your own class, you taught ancient studies. those required a lot of preparation, bringing the projector in the middle and turning it on the lesson.

your class piled in and you taught your class. your classes were small so you were in good hands, you had a lot of potential lying in your students so there was no doubt that they would succeed.

once the class was over, you looked over to your schedule. getting a good look at when exactly you'd take over professor lupin's classes, you also managed to grab a copy of lupin's schedule from minerva before you walked off. ultimately, any free period you had, you would be teaching.

you heard a knock. you saw severus at the door, he had a small basket in his hand. instantly relaxing the moment he was here, you gave him a warm smile.

"what can i do for you on this fine friday of ours professor snape?" you said, winking playfully.

"i couldn't find you at lunch time, so i brought lunch to you...if you so desire miss y/n." severus offered.

"you're too kind severus snape. oh, you got my favourites. thank you so much my dear." you said, letting your hand take hold of his and kissing him warmly.

"come, have a seat. it's the only time i'll be free today." you said, taking a hold of the basket he had and you sat down at your desk, severus sat beside you.

"is that lupin's schedule?" severus asked.

"yep...minerva's asked me to cover some of his classes because of...you know." you said.
