"Tell me about it." Dallas scoffed and dropped the conversation to let them focus on eating.

They arrived to the house a hour later to Sanchez and few other men in the front yard. Sanchez was putting his fishing stuff on the back of a truck while the rest of them stood around. Once Asha and Dallas climbed from the car the men's eyes fell on them and their talking ceased.

"Wassup Dallas!" they spoke as she pulled her bags from the backseat. "You done made a new friend huh?"

"Kiss my ass, Marcus!" Dallas used her hip to push the door shut.

Asha asked her if she needed any help but Dallas declined and headed up the driveway. She was going to follow suit until her eyes landed on Sanchez who was already looking at her. The closer she got to where he was, the heavier her heart pumped. He was long gone when she woke up that morning, leaving her to sit in her thoughts of last night alone.

It felt good to be honest about how she had been feeling and to be cuddled for the first time in a long time. The intimacy of it had her happy to see him but it also had her somewhat nervous. She didn't want it to mean too much.

"Hey, wassup?" he walked up on her after shutting the tailgate and peeked in her few bags, "What's in them bags? I don't see nothing with my name on it."

"Because nothing in here is for you." she playfully sassed, cocking her head to the side. Her eyes then moved to the supplies on the back of the truck, "Y'all are going fishing?"

"Yeah, we'll probably be gone for like three, four hours. You cool with that?" he asked.

The question made her frown, "Why wouldn't I be? You're your own person, Sanchez."

"Duh, I know that. But you been with Dallas all morning and was probably ready to come to the crib and be with ya boy."

"Yeah, because you're just sooo important, right?" she smiled up at him and he shrugged with a nod. "Please. Do what you do. I'll still be here."

"You're not leaving?" his voice went up an octave showcasing his excitement. He had to clear his throat. "I thought your flight is tonight."

"I changed it to Thursday night. It's peaceful here and I wanna soak in it a lil longer. If you don't mind."

So far she hadn't had to worry about anything. Her number had been changed, eliminating all calls from Blaze. She hadn't checked her home cameras to see if he'd shown up. It still keeping record of all movement at the house but she wasn't constantly watching them. To top it off, there was no doubt he had no idea where she was and she had no chances of running into him as she moved through the city. Being at Sanchez's home was such an escape.

"Be forreal," he smacked his teeth. "Like I didn't just turn twelve just then."

"It was kinda cute." she smirked.

"Yeah, whatever. I'll see you when I come back then. Don't go in there and cook anything either. I took some stuff out for me to make when I get back."

She nodded, "Okay,"

"You look beautiful by the way too." his hand gently brushed hers as he took a step back. "This red is crazyyyy."

"Stop tryna make me blush," she playfully covered her mouth with an eye roll to hide that she was blushing. "Thank you, though."

"Gone, man." he chuckled and nodded for her to go ahead in the house.

Asha gently bumped him on her way around him and sent a small wave to the men watching them interact. Once she was inside the house she went up to the guest room and placed her bags down to the floor. To her surprise, Rue was sitting at the foot of the bed.
