"You haven't bothered me all weekend. Please don't start now."

The cat simply turned its head and ignored her. She watched the cat from her peripheral as she removed her boots and jacket. She thought to take her makeup off as well and tie her hair up but after her hard work she decided against it. Instead she changed out of her jeans into a pair of sweats and went down to the living room for a while.

She'd taken vacation days from work, therefore, she had nothing to do other than watch tv or be on her phone. Especially because all her hobby equipment had been left at home. So to pass time, she watched The Wire for the first time only to fall asleep a couple episodes in. About two hours into her nap, her phone pinged with an email before it was ringing.

"Hello?" she answered without really looking at the caller id.

"Hi, may I speak with Asha Mitchell." the proper voice made her sit up and open her eyes.

"This is she. May I ask who's speaking?"

"Your landlord, Paula. I was calling to inform you of your lease's termination. The papers have been emailed to you but I wanted to call and let you know as well. Will you be able to be out of the house by the 18th or 20th?"

Asha nodded, "Yes, most definitely. I'll be sure to give you a call or send you an email when I'm out. Thank you."

"That would be great, thank you, and no problem. I wish you the best Ms. Mitchell. Have a great rest of your day."

"You as well." the call ended and Asha wanted to scream as she fell back onto the couch with a smile. She was one step closer to being out of that house and further away from Blaze.

She got up from the couch with a stretch and texted her cousins about helping her move everything out this weekend. A storage unit could hold all her belongings until she figured out exactly what she was going to do moving forward. She was still deciding if she wanted to remain in the Miami area or move somewhere else and start over. The idea of starting over was the most appealing at the moment but she also enjoyed the leisure her job gave her along with the great pay. She had decisions to make but they weren't going to be tackled until she was back home.

The pattering of feet made her crane back to see who was walking in her direction. Sanchez was putting on a wife beater as he turned off into the kitchen and opened the fridge.

"Vibing to the music, this is how we do it, all night." he sung and beat against the fridge door.

She leaned against the counter the island with the intention of either startling him or teasing him about his vocals. He grabbed a water bottle and sat it on the counter, quickly catching a glimpse of her which made him do a double take. He only smiled and shut the fridge, bobbing his head.

"Just me and my boss, no worries at all, listening to Aston Martin Music, music." he continued to sing. "Would've came back for you, I just needed time—"

"Sir," she tapped her hand on the counter for his attention. He lifted his brows without removing his headphones. "You cannot sing so I'd appreciate if you stopped or brought it down."

"What?" he paused the music.

"You cannot sing. So I'd appreciate if you stopped or brought your volume down some," she repeated.

"You hatin'. Did I wake you up?" he pulled his headphones off and let them rest around his neck.

"No, but I probably would've been scared for my life if I woke up to that. When did you even get back?"

"Like thirty minutes ago. You was knocked out on the couch." he uncapped his bottle and took a sip.

"Yeah, I got bored." she slipped onto one of the stools. "Did y'all catch anything?"
