Everyone started clapping, with no hesitation, just applause.
"Hello, it's Milim, one of the Demon Lords, I'll be living here with you now!"
Silence... she turned towards me worried, "did I say something wrong?" No shit Sherlock, what a fast way to blow your cover, I get her title is cool and all, but this wasn't the time.
"I thought her name was just a coincidence, but it's the Demon Lord, who would've thought she would look so harmless." the whispers of the crowd could be heard, not so secretive now, is it?
"With my Milim ears, nothing is hidden away from me, and I am not harmless." she pouts. I just sigh and pat her on the head, making her whole speech uncredible.
"She's my niece, treat her like your own."
And there's the applause, why not name them all to commemorate this moment?
"How about you all gather up? Not you Milim, this is a surprise for them."
Confused but willing to cooperate, they formed a single file line. First in line was the elder goblin,
"Your name is now Rigurd." a golden glow surrounds his body as he receives his name and a soul corridor forms between us. Milim meanwhile sat on a stool eating fruits that the female goblins had offered to her.
"This is way better than the offerings they give back at my place," she commented.
"But this is just fruit?" I asked, what kind of hospitality does her territory have?
"They give me raw vegetables, yuck. I wouldn't eat it even if it was cooked."
"You must eat your green Milim, it's good for you."
"Whatever..."
The naming ceremony continued as planned until the Direwolves were next. Ciel had informed me that the power of naming transcends down through the entire pack, so the naming of the newfound alpha or its direct descendants is required. And it was that same wolf that spoke up hours before, he'll be named Ranga, way more creative than the goblin variation names I gave to the ~one hundred goblins.
Thanking me for their names, they recede to their tents to rest, except for one. Hurriedly he found a time when I was not bombarded by goblins trying to greet me,
"Hey there, sorry if this is the wrong time." he nervously fidgets with his fingers, "ah no worries, there was something you wish to bring to my attention?"
"Yes sir, this is more on technicalities. If you may have known, Lady Milim's open announcement regarding her permanent stay here may cause quite the trouble in the future."
"Oh, why is that?" I raise an eyebrow.
"The Demon Lords are power hungry, they desire to have power over one another, which is why the sudden gain of a large part of territory alarms them."
"Their powers, what is it like compared to Milim."
"In the legends, Milim is considered as the oldest and one of the strongest Demon Lords to exist, in a one-on-one fight with others, she's the clear winner."
"I don't see the problem here-"
"They've got brains that only a mastermind could receive, and that is just the icing on top of the cake, manipulative and liars, you don't know what they could be planning, right before you walk into their trap. They aren't demon lords for nothing."
Now he's got a point there, "Ever wanted to be a scholar?"
"Huh? Thats impossible, I am one of the lowest races in the academy, even if I do get in, it'll be hell to go through tuition."
"Well isn't that why we got that Bootcamp available to all males? Why don't you try it out, get yourself a future." I pat him on the back as he slowly nods,
"Thank you for giving me this opportunity Lord, I'll never forget this."
"Attaboy, now get going, will ya?"
Now. The goblins soon to be evolved are in horrible shape still, with no precious metals and no stable food source. Yes they can hunt and gather, and it has been working for them; the ecosystem is never tough enough to fully depend on it, especially if you plan to build a civilization, deforestation is inevitable.
Voicing my predicament, Veldora suggests the Dwarven Kingdom, Dwargon. Consisting of Dwarves, masterful blacksmiths, and artisans. A merchant's wet dream. Considering the pure magiore that I have, there will be plenty of people to choose from.
"Can I go with??" a voice said excitedly from behind, Milim. Why not, some family time would be nice.
"Alright, next morning, we set foot."
