The Lie

chapter 12

"Har how did you know it was me who came in..?" I asked confused.

"Well I made it clear that other than myself only you could come in cause I wanted to talk to you..."

"Well what about Har..?" I asked just relieved to know he's okay.

"I want revenge on the dursleys and I also don't think I like Ron like I thought I did... but something feels off inside of me... like I'm not who I know myself to be..." He said seriously.

"What do you mean..." I asked unsure of how to react.

"I mean I think there was a chance I was taken... as a baby." He said looking me in the eyes and he didn't seem like the Harry I'd met this summer.

"If you want to know for sure we can go to Gringotts after classes today..." I suggested and he light up at this comment.

"I would absolutely love that!" He said happily, "but what do I do about Ron I mean I don't want to hurt him because I already ruined his relationship with his sister and possibly his whole family I don't want to hurt him or for it to be for nothing..." He said sounding upset and confused.

"Harry you shouldn't worry about what problems he has if he truly loves you like he claims to then he'll just be happy as long as you are and he'll probably have to apologize to his sister at some point anyways as for the rest of his family I don't know alright.." I said encouragingly as I put a hand gently on his shoulder and he nodded.

"I'll tell him after breakfast so that he isn't publicly humiliated..." He said quietly.

"Do you want me to be there just in case?" I asked honestly hoping he does.

"I... I think that'll be for the best actually and try to quietly tell Dray what's happening please.." He said unsure of himself.

As we started to get up to head to breakfast I said, "don't doubt yourself alright Har." And in response he nodded quietly and we walked out and parted ways to protect us both.

After breakfast in an mostly empty classroom it only contains Ron Harry and Pansy

I put an encouraging hand on Harry's shoulder as he started talking, "Ron I know we've been through a lot together but dating is about finding out the right person for you and as we are both aware Draco you and I are all in a relationship but I realized that I don't actually like you like I thought I did but I hope we can get past this and still be friends later on in life..." Harry finally finished.

"I can't lie I kinda saw this coming the way you look at Malfoy compared to me... but I still can't help but feel a bit sad..." The Weasley stated right before he left.

"Well does draco atleast know that I broke it off with Ron...?" Harry asked.

"Well you see about that I kinda used the wording that the raven meaning you was going to break off one of his two branches and he kinda thinks that it's him so he's gonna try avoiding you..." I said guiltily and he looked at me horrified and broke down crying and at that point I couldn't help but summon Draco to us even though I knew Draco was purposefully avoiding Harry but I couldn't bring Granger or any Weasleys here and the moment Draco got to us he rushed over to Harry's side not even stopping to think what if it was a trap.

"Shhh it's alright I'm here love," Draco said and Harry looked up at him shocked he was there and nestled his head into Draco's neck.

"I.. it was never going to be you Dray..." Harry barely managed to croak out between sobs.

"It's alright love I'm here now shhh.." Draco said obviously not listening to what Harry had said and I went and sat on Harry's other side and gently stroked his hair as Blaise and Theo walked in.
