As we were pulling back onto the road, Phil started to wake up.
"Do... I smell... coffee...?" He questioned while stretching his arms.

"Yes you do Phil. You're lucky I was nice and made (y/n) get you one." I smirked.

"Oh please, you wanted to leave him at Starbucks, Dan." (Y/n) half glared half laughed at me. I smiled and poked her cheek.

I leaned back and handed Phil his cup. "Have fun drinking your cup of dirt and sadness." I laughed.

"Hey, black coffee is actually better for you than any other caffeine drink." Phil stated while taking a big gulp from his cup.
"Pretty sure that's not true Phil, but nice try." I laughed.

I continued vlogging for a bit, then decided to put on the radio. Once 'Centuries' by Fall Out Boy came through the speakers, I cranked up the volume and the three of us started singing along at the top of our lungs, and I was still recording.
I think we had a little too much coffee.

Eventually the sun started to rise, and other cars joined us on the empty highway. It was still pretty early.

"How much longerrr??" I asked (y/n) impatiently. "My butt hurts from this seat."

"You sound like a nine year old. And we're like, halfway there. What time is it?" She asked me. I pulled out my phone.
"8:42."
"We will be there by 11:30, Dan. Be patient."

I groaned and squirmed in my seat, almost dropping the camera on the floor. Phil giggled at me from the backseat.

Phil and I spent most of the time trying to annoy (y/n) while she was driving.
I swear, if that car had an ejecting seat she would have pressed it four times by now.

I was busy bugging (y/n) with the classic 'Are we there yet?' over and over, until we passed a sign that read
'Welcome to Sacramento.'

I suddenly felt really nervous.

'I'm about to meet (y/n)s family.
For the first time.
What if I don't make a good first impression? Oh god, what if I make them hate me?'

I stared down at my feet, almost ready to throw up when (y/n) noticed me, probably as pale as a ghost.

"Dan? You okay?" She looked concerned.
"What? Oh yeah yeah, I'm fine." I tried to shake off the nervousness.
"He's probably nervous about meeting your family, (y/n)" Phil told her while leaning up to the front of the car.

'Dammit Phil.'

"Really Dan?" She turned to look at me. I nodded slowly, and she smiled.

"Don't be nervous. It's just my mum and brother, and my brother already likes you. You'll be fine. I've met your family plenty of times, and they all seem to not hate me."

(Y/n) smiled and placed one of her hands on my hand, which made me calm down a bit.

We eventually turned down onto a road with a lot of houses scattered down the sides, and (y/n) turned again onto a side street.

I anxiously pulled down the mirror from the sun visor and started to fix my hair and straighten out my clothes.
I was still combing through my hair with my fingers when (y/n) giggled at me.
"You're rediculous, Dan. You look perfect, like always, so stop worrying so much."

I was just about to say something when (y/n) pulled into a driveway in front of a house. It was a fairly big house, having 2 floors in total and what appeared to be an attic aswell. It was an old Victorian-style home, it reminded me of old mansions people used to have before the civil war.
