He spotted Hermione leaving the room with them and, in light of the new chaos, resolved that no one would be paying attention to either of them if he decided to talk to her. Striding up to the girl who was rolling her eyes at the student's eagerness to leave the classroom and ignoring Professor Vector's shouts to, "Get back here!" He ran up to her.
"Hey, Hermione. Do you know what's happening?" He asked her, for he was not about to try and get through the mass of people to figure it out and take the risk of damaging his hair in all the body heat that was being produced by the large mass of madness.
Hermione turned to him with a sly smile. "I may have a bit of an idea."
He was unable to question her further, though, as a red, swirling firework chose that to be the best time to fly right up to his and sizzle and pop in front of his nose.
"Ahh!" He yelled out shrilly and ducked, hands covering his head. When he came back up from his momentary panic of thinking his beautiful face was about to be burned by a rogue firework, he saw Hermione laughing to herself.
"Holy Merlin, your scream." Hermione snickered into the back of her hand.
"I'm glad my terror gives you amusement," Draco said bitterly and with a glare in her direction as he swiped his robes free of any dust.
"Very much so," Hermione agreed.
Draco couldn't find it in him to be mad at her for too long for the chaos around him only seemed to grow as students streamed into the hallways and utter turmoil erupted just like the fireworks that only seemed to grow in number.
"Who's doing this?" He questioned again. Hermione turned to him as if gauging his ability to keep his mouth shut, but it didn't last for long since the answer already seemed to be made up in her mind.
"Fred and George. They certainly aren't going to leave without a bang."
"Who?" Draco asked since the names didn't ring any bells in his ears.
"Fred and George? Really? Where have you been for the last five years?"
"Memory loss, remember?" Draco said with a tap on his head, ignoring the ironic phrasing of the statement.
"There's no way you didn't hear about them, being in the Inquisitorial Squad and all."
Draco shrugged. "I tend to block out most things that she says. And," he added to help show Hermione that he would rather shove Umbridge into a swarm of bees before having to listen to that grating voice, "I was in the hospital wing for my 'headaches' as an excuse not to go to the meetings."
Hermione hummed without looking at him, instead focusing on the mayhem. She then peered at him with a scary smirk on her face. "Want to do some meddling of our own? Umbridge won't be able to stop all of us."
Draco saw the look in her eyes and decided it would be best to just follow her.
"Come on!" She yelled, grabbing his arm and pulling him into the disarray of students who were wreaking havoc on the castle. "I know just the spell that Filch will never be able to get rid of."
Draco snorted to himself when he thought about all the cleaning the horrid caretaker was going to have to do once all of this was over.
His humour quickly turned to horror when he saw where Hermione was going.
"Wait, Hermione," he yelled out as she dragged him along into the crowd of rebelling students. "My hair is going to shrivel up in all this humidity!"
"Oh suck it up, Malfoy," the girl shouted gleefully behind her. "Don't you want to make Umbridge's day suck too?"
