The hotel we're staying is crazy. Walking through the lobby there is several of the biggest chandeliers I've ever seen, all of them hanging above wither seating areas or small mini bars. There was several elevators up to the rooms on the other side of the large lobby. There was nightclubs, restaurants, bars and even a ballroom somewhere in here; not forgetting about the six or seven swimming pools, spa, gym and well... I'm not even half way done. This hotel is like Dubai squeezed into 90000 square metres.
I use my key card to open up the door of Kiara and I's room. I squint as soon as I enter the room, the curtains are still closed blocking out all light apart from a few single rays that fought their way through the edges of the thick fabric. "You're doing the worst thing by just turning yourself into a vegetable and laying there you know?" I ask purposefully closing the door loudly behind me and laughing to myself when Ki groaned and stuck her middle finger at me.
I hum to myself as I head towards the bathroom hopping in the shower to get all the chlorine filled pool water away from my body. I washed my body with some apple body wash and kept my hair up in the large bun at the top of my head, it takes too long to wash and dry and it's not like I'd got it wet in anyways. After ten minutes or so I hop out the shower and dry my body, deciding I'm going to go to the Design District. I'm sure I could drag somebody along with me.
The towel wrapped around my body tightly I head back into the room and search through my small wardrobe that was filled with all the clothes I brought eventually deciding on a slightly over sized white shirt, some blue denim shorts and my brown leather sandals that went up my knee. "Ki, I'm going shopping do you wanna come?" I ask as she groans lifting her head to look at me.
"I wanna fucking sleep, go!" She mumbles, her voice slightly hoarse making me fold my lips into my mouth as I try not to laugh. I back out of the room with my hands up mumbling a 'okay sorry' and going back into the bathroom to put my make up on. I brushed some bronzer over my face after applying some concealer where it was needed, only then using some mascara and brushing a little eyeshadow to fill in my eyebrows (I find it easier). I finished by applying some strawberry lip balm, I couldn't be bothered with lipstick today.
Picking up my bag I pick up my phone and text Alex quickly asking if e would come with me. He seems to be the only one alive other than Carter and Lola who are out sorting the final details for the wedding in five days. I leave the apartment as quietly as I could, not wanting to get shouted at by Kia again before looking down at my phone. Alex said he would come with me and I then tell him to meet me in the lobby as soon as possible and make my way back towards the elevator.
----------------------
"They're eight hundred dollars." I pout staring down at my foot which had the perfect white shoe strapped onto it.
"You knew that before you tried them on!" Alex stressed his eyes wide as I continue to pout looking down at my foot.
"They're so pretty though!" I whine standing up to admire the shoes some more.
"I think you should get them because I think if you don't you might cry." Alex says seriously although I can detect the slight teasing behind his voice. I twist my face a little in thought, I guess I do need shoes for the wedding. I also could wear these with almost anything. I take a seat back on the seat the sales assistant looking at me with an obvious false smile as I begin to unstrap the senora crepe satin Louboutins from my feet. Christian Louboutin owes me $800 for making shoes so beautiful. I nod at the sales assistant placing them back in the brown box that they came in with a small smile.
"I'll put them behind the register." She speaks happily making me roll my eyes. I hate the fake tone all the workers seem to have in these shops. I pick up my several other shopping bags which were strewn around the floor, all with expensive logos printed on their sides before heading over to the register to pay for my new babies.
I slide my purse out of my bag and pull the card out and holding it out for the store worker. I could feel her practically glaring at me like, if you're that unhappy in your job quit!
Not my problem.
I glance to Alex who's standing beside me who's looking confused by the whole thing. This is so strange. The shop assistant or 'Clara' as her name tag read almost tossed my card back at me making me widen my eyes. "Chill!" I snap narrowing my eyes as I slip my purse back into my bag.
"You're Charlotte Forster." She states flatly. Well done you can read off a debit card.
"There's a problem with that?" I ask raising my eyebrows a little. Hoe don't do it, I'm not in the mood. Let me just remind you my body clock is ten hours ahead of Eastern time.
"No...none." She stated her eyes narrowing at me making me laugh. I look to Alex again wondering if he'd be able to help but he looks just as confused as me.
"Thank you for the reminder of my name." Is all I say as I pick up the bag from the counter and slinging it onto my shoulder as Alex and I walk out of the store.
As we walk down the nearly paved sidewalk and go to cross a road I spot several flashes going off in the distance. There was a number of paparazzi surrounding somebody as they climbed out of a glossy black car and walked into one of the many designer stores. I keep my eyes on the almost comical sight as grown men battled for the best picture of this poor person.
"I'd hate that." I mumble nudging my head in the direction in the direction of the scene with my head shaking a little.
"I think you'd cope if you had to." Al hums as I nod in agreement.
"I could but, I don't have to worry myself about it because I'm never gonna be famous." I smile moving the bags in my hand so they didn't dig into my skin too much.
"Char, some girl just recognised you and was mentally killing you because you for some weird reason, I think you're a little famous." I narrow my eyes, my bottom lip tucked between my teeth as I nibble on it feel in thought.
"That was just weird. You can't use that as an argument, the poor girl looked terrified." I counter hoping I have some sort of argument. "some photographs are never gonna get me to that paparazzi level, I wouldn't let it." I sigh smiling lightly to myself. More importantly I wouldn't want it. That would be some peoples dream but not mine.
