You looked over at Kyouka to see if she would raise any complaints against his suggestion, but she only stared back at you, hardly making a sound.
"Uh..." You mumbled, "yeah, sure."
"Great," Atsushi replied, his smile widening as his cheeks turned a barely discernible shade of pink. "Anyways... I also have a stun gun for Kyouka, just in case. (Y/N), you can just make a crystal sword if need be." As he spoke, he handed the gun over to Kyouka.
"Why would she need a stun gun?" You asked, tilting your head to the side. Usually the agency didn't partake in many violent cases, could this be different?
"The Port Mafia is still after her," Atsushi sighed, "we can't be too careful. Though, this time at least, I don't think you have to worry."
Kyouk took the gun and looked up at him. "What's the job?"
Atsushi smiled at her slight enthusiasm. "All you have to do is deliver this envelope of evidence to a judge in a court," he explained. He then reached into his pocket to take out a picture. "Oh," he added, "by the way, this is what he looks like."
The man in the picture was a rather plump man, with a bushy dark brown mustache and fluffy hair. He wore a black suit with a navy blue tie.
"He looks like a very cliche rich man," you sighed, "it sucks that we do jobs for them more often than other people. They tend to be very stuck-up."
"Understood," Kyouka muttered, eyes narrowing in on the picture. "I've memorized his face." Her voice seemed robotic when she spoke, as if she was following some sort of emotionless script she was forced to learn so long ago.
"You're really into this," Atsushi chuckled, not catching on to the little hints in Kyouka's voice. "Is it because it's your first job?"
After a second or two of hesitance, Kyouka eventually mumbled, "no... the first job I ever had was infiltrating a building and assassinating two people."
Although your own past didn't sound too much different, you still couldn't help but pity her and realize your differences. The agency had helped you build yourself back up, and you were a changed person. The only time you regressed to your previous self was when your past was about to interfere once more with the present.
Thoughts of the past put your brain on a whole new topic. You realized you hadn't heard from them in a long time. Were they planning something?
Kyouka brought you back out of your thoughts when she determinedly stated, "I'll do my best. I promise."
"I bet you will," you responded, smiling down at her. Why did she remind you so much of your younger self?

"What do you mean they won't let you in?" You asked Kyouka, "shouldn't they be expecting us? We're going to be late!"
"That's exactly what I told the man," she murmured.
Atsushi frowned before stating, "I'll call the judge." But after a few rings, he had to hang up seconds before the phone went to voicemail. "No luck, the judge isn't picking up." Atsushi placed his hands on his hips. "I guess there was some miscommunication. It looks like we're going to have to do something about that guard."
Kyouka tilted her head to the side before simply suggesting, "kill him?"
Atsushi let out a disturbed yelp as she continued, "first I'll use my charms to lure him into an isolated area, and then..."
She slowly took out her knife, causing you to slap your face with your hand and Atsushi to immediately shout, "yeah, well that's not exactly how we do things at the agency..."
