Saphira chuckled a little, she didn't know she would go that far. Arcee entered the town and Saphira began guiding the autobot towards the right street. Saphira's hands tighten their grip the closer they got, Arcee really wanted to reassure Saphira that everything would be okay. Though, as Arcee was aware of some of the things Saphira had been through, and witnessed how Saphira had been badly coping, Arcee knew this wasn't exactly easy for her. Arcee didn't quite know how Saphira's mother died, but everyone was aware that she lost her mother when she was really young.
Arcee turned into a quiet street and Saphira spoke to her gently. "You can shut the engine off now." The bot quickly turned the engine off and rolled down the street quietly. "Just three more houses to the right."
Arcee said nothing as she kept rolling down the street, paying close attention to the houses on the right. Saphira turned the handle towards a drive of a two-story house with no cars in the driveway, much to Saphira's relief. Arcee parked in the driveway, keeping as far from the front door as possible so they do not get spotted.
Saphira took off her helmet and wrapped the scarf around her mouth, nose and forehead so no one would notice her. She gazed up at the building and shuddered nervously. "Alright...it is now, or never."
"Be careful, Saphira. I will keep a close eye on you," Arcee said to her in a gentle, encouraging voice. "Take what you rightfully deserve."
Saphira nodded and swung her leg off the bike before running to the side of the house. She glanced at the tree that was by the house before she began to climb it. This tree had been outside her room ever since she was child. It had practically grown with her as she lived in the house. Arcee watched as she climbed the tree carefully, she would be ready to catch the girl if she slipped and fell. Although, she really did not want to have to explain where they really were back at base...though, when they arrive with a new guitar, they might have to.
Saphira reached the limb that extended towards the house and she carefully balanced herself on it, using the branches above to keep her steady and walked along the branch towards the lower roof of the house. She was very nervous by the time she reached the end of the branch. It was right above the lower roof of the house and she carefully lowered herself, extending her legs down and standing up carefully on the roof.
She took a deep breath, looking towards a partially closes window. She smiled, it was still open slightly like the day she had left. She walked over to the window and pushed it opened slowly, peering inside. Her room was small and cosy, it still had the pale pink walls of the paint she and her mother had chosen to colour her room. Her single bed still had the black quilt on it and nothing seemed to have been moved.
She was glad as her stepmother often talked about turning her room into an extra wardrobe for herself and her stepsister. She was happy Laura and Samantha weren't in a hurry, unless her dad was preventing them for the moment. She wasn't about to stick around too long, however. She tiptoes through her room towards the closet and opened it slowly, peering inside and smiling when she saw the pale, acoustic guitar on the ground. She grabbed it gently and the case to put it in, there was no way she would return to base without it being protected from the weather and the potential to being destroyed.
Once the guitar was inside, she stood up and approached her vanity, there were little things on here she had that she treasured. However, none of them were of her mother. She turned away from the vanity to walk to the bedside table and picked up a picture frame, feeling tears fill her eyes a little. In the frame was a picture of herself and her mother a year before she died. Her mother was piggie backing her in this picture when it was taken, and the two of them looked so happy together.
Why did you have to leave me, mom?
Saphira wiped away her tears and slipped the picture frame into her bag, making sure it would be secure and safe like the guitar. She walked back to the window to climb out, closing the window until it was slightly open like before. But, she now had a guitar to climb down with. She looked at the tree nervously as she walked towards it.
