"Make it 30."
Chuckling as I knew I had found her competing nerve, so graciously taught to her by Anakin, I stuck out my hand,
"Winner gets 30 credits. The competition starts as soon as the walkway between the cruiser and platform is fully down. Do you accept?"
Smirking at me she straightened and shook my hand as if she had already won the game,
"Deal. May the fastest win."
Unwrapping her fingers from my hand to let go I tightened my grip on her hand instead and jerked it a little forwards as I pointed to her, voice dropping an octave to enforce my rule for her,
"And remember, no Force cheating."
She huffed and rolled her eyes, pretending like it hadn't screwed over her plans to win,
"Yeah, yeah, I don't need the Force to win anyways."
"Don't get cocky, Ahsoka. It might just be your downfall."
I let go of her hand just as Anakin and Rex came strolling over to us, casually conversing about something. Anakin caught me letting go of Ahsoka's hand and instantly shifted his focus over to us,
"I have a feeling that I missed something fun."
Ahsoka smirked at him and half heartedly shrugged,
"Maybe, but it's no concern of yours, Master."
I giggled at Anakin who was a bit buffed at being excluded. Ahsoka's teasing was always amusing to observe. Rex pursed his lips to not laugh too, and it made me need to cover my mouth to not fully burst out laughing. Anakin frowned and tugged at my hair with the Force, causing me to yelp in surprise.
"Watch it, Skyguy!"
He grinned and waved me off when one of the officers called for his attention further down. He walked away and Rex came closer to my left. After having the rather intimate moment with Rex I felt even more safe and comfortable around him. It was like he was giving off this aura of warmth, guiding me towards him so that he could keep me securely by his side. When he had made sure that I was comfortable with removing his kama and reassured me that he wouldn't cross over my boundaries. It was like something between us had solidified. It was a completely new level of trust that had settled between us. Because when you are getting so intimate with someone, it takes trust. You're becoming vulnerable and completely undone for the other one to see. To know that Rex would always make sure I was comfortable and that he didn't do something I didn't want to or wasn't comfortable with. It showed that he was in this for me, not just my body. That is what true intimacy is really about. Subconsciously I had leaned on my left hip, bringing me slightly closer towards Rex as we just watched the descent towards the ginormous docking ports on Coruscant. We had breached the atmosphere and knowing it would still take a long time for us to fully be docked, I remembered –not only our bet– but also to grab my bag from my room with my things. Patting Ahsoka on her head between her lekkus I started turning around,
"See you later when you're handing over those 30 credits you promised."
She sputtered out a response,
"I– oh I don't think so! I'm going to be the winner here!"
Barking out a mocking laugh I just shook my head,
"Keep dreaming Ka'ra and you might make it one day! Just make sure you have those credits ready!"
Walking out from the bridge I heard footsteps follow behind me, as well as Ahsoka muttering. Slowing my steps a little to let Rex catch up I smiled to myself as I knew his next words before he even spoke.
