"EASTER!!!! NO, OH MY GOD!" Bella cries, her voice dripping with pain probably more than all of mine.
"B-Bella-" I stutter and my throat sticks due to the lack of moisture and the excess of air in it.
"Eric, come here, oh my God!"
"Bell- FUCK EASTER!" Eric hollers.
He grabs at my arm near my elbow and pulls me up. Bella lets go of me when I'm way above the edge. Every joint of my body threatens me to screw loose as Eric pulls me completely back on and throws me on the floor.
"Gentle Eric!" Bella shouts at him in concern.
"Shut up!" He shoots at her. "And you tell me what were you doing there before I push you back."
It takes me a minute to understand that the other part was a question and also that it was for me. And it was a very difficult one too.
Had he asked me why I came back from almost dying, I could've easily told him that I came back to tell them to not mourn me. But why was I hanging there needs a lot of brainwork. And I am too exhausted for it.
"NOW!" He growls at me louder and my brain is forced to work against my exhausted state.
The moment I remember why I was hanging there, I jerk off my position and fling my body towards the terrace edge to peek down.
"Easter!" My actions earn me another scream from Bella but I keep searching.
"Are you crazy?" Eric pulls me up to a stand, way far from fall. "Don't tell me you've grown a death wish."
"What the-" I flinch at the pain in my hand where he's been holding tightly, making my already aching muscles hurt more. "You're hurting me, let go!" I pull my hand off.
"I AM THE ONE HURTING YOU?" He roars like a beast.
"Shh shhh shh. Cut it down, you'll wake mom and dad." I hush and his eyes widen at me.
"That is what you care about? Wow, East, I'm impressed." He is nowhere near bringing his voice down. On top of that, he starts clapping loudly and the anxiety in me increases multi-folds.
"God, Eric can you calm the fuck down. I have a headache for Christ's sake and I don't wanna add more to it by waking them up."
I'm hating the fact that I have to keep talking when every cell of my body wants me to have some rest and my heart is restless with unanswered questions. Like, where did Daniel go?
"Well congratulations girl, your parents aren't home so you can go back to that stunt of yours. You won't wake anyone up."
"Can you stop?" I say in a tired voice.
"Listen here-" He pulls on my arm again and a pain-induced yelp leaves my lips. "What were you doing there? Why were you here at this hour?"
Once again I look around. I stretch on my toe tips. I squeeze my eyes. But none of it helps me find him. The curiosity irks my brain along with a few possible theories.
He might have noticed Bella and Eric coming and that's why he sneaked away, sounds the best to me. At least way better than the others.
"Easter?" Eric reminds me of his presence and I acknowledge by parting my lips.
"I came to just-"
"No. Lies." He growls making me frown harder.
"Of course Eric, I came to have some fresh air. The hell wrong with that?" I state in a disgusted tone.
"Fresh air and then next moment you decided to hang there for fun?"
"I- I slipped man." I turn away from him pretending to set my hair.
