Team BRIR immediately prepared all that they would need and set off. When they arrived at the mission destination, they were greatly shocked and cursed Vale's huntsmen association in their hearts for not properly doing their jobs and possibly leading them to their own deaths. The view that greeted them greatly shocked them to their cores, as they didn't expect that the grimm they were supposed to subjugate numbered in the hundreds. The shocked team of huntresses, didn't know hiw this horde came to be. It wasn't unheard of for grimm of different species to band together, but a grimm horde consisting of Beowolves, Ursai, Deathstalkers, Nevermores, ans King Taijitus numbering in the hundreds?
It was a completely new thing, even for them.
They immediately decided to retreat and gather the necessary information first, before dealing with their current mission. As they knew that even they wouldn't be able to do much against hundreds of grimm on unknown territory, and it's even possible that the hundred of grimms they witnessed just now was only what was on the surface. They weren't arrogant enough to think that they would be able to get out of here alive if they were to carelessly dive right in. They were only able to flee for several meters when they were ambushed by a couple of Alpha Beowolves along several of their pack members.
Which leads to their situation now. Team BRIR has been fighting for 2 days, leaving them physically and mentally exhausted, as the grimm has been relentless in their attacks. Their injuries has been growing and getting worse as time goes on. They already took down more down 50 grimm, but instead of decreasing, their numbers only kept on increasing and even their attacks increase in ferocity. Usually grimm like, Beowolves, Ursai, and Deathstalkers wouldn't even be a problem for a team like BRIR. But even if all of these were smallfry, if they numbered in the hundreds...
Right now, team BRIR was inside a cave resting. Ruda along with Roane was able to create an explosion strong enough that managed to serve as a distraction for Bianca to drag Ivy away from the battlefield. It took them several minutes and a great amount of luck to find this unoccupied cave.
They were currently tending to their wounds and using their remaining time to calm their fatigued bodies and mind. They were disheveled and haggard, with injuries scattered along their bodies.
Bianca's blonde hair and white tank top has been dyed with her own blood, and her armor even having nicks and scratch marks. Her swords has been constantly trembling, from all the grimm she had to slash apart. The pain from the grimm's attacks weren't the only things that's adding to her growing fatigue, as her muscles screamed at her from exhaustion. But even then, the light in her eyes hasn't dimmed a bit. Because as the leader of her team, she knew that if she were to fall here, then it will only be a matter of time before the rest of her teammates joins her in the afterlife. She didn't want that, as the leader, it was her responsibility to keep her teammates alive. And there was also the guilt that appeared on her mind as she felt that this was all her fault, as even though they all agreed to go on this mission, she was still the deciding vote. That's why Bianca has been fighting with everything that she has, because at the very least, she wants her teammates to keep on living.
Roane's current look was like if she bathed herself in blood. Her red hair was very disheveled and was even redder than before due to all the blood from her and her teammates. Even her usual calmness was gone from her face and was replaced by very fierce scowl. It's as if she crawled up back to Remnant all the way back from hell, her bloodshot eyes adding to her horrendous visage. Despite all the blood on her, she hasn't suffered much injuries and most of the blood on her was from her teammates.
Ruda, was just like her teammates, injured and exhausted from all the fighting that they had to go through. Even then she still haven't given up and was full of fighting spirit. Despite having her right hand broken, was still optimistic that they could get through this. Them dying haven't even crossed her mind.
