Vinnie was getting more bitter with each passing moment. He doesn't know how long he's been on Cody's profile but it was too long.

But the feeling being ridiculous started to set in. You two were kids when all of that was taken and you two broke up way before you met Vinnie. But something was still bothering him.

He tried to hop on his computer to do some gaming but he couldn't stop thinking about it. Maybe it was just the idea of you with someone else. Or maybe Cody hadn't deleted the posts because he's still in love with you.

He was so in his thoughts that he didn't even hear you walk up the stairs and open the door.

"Hey." You told him and took a swing from you water bottle.

"Hey." He replied back, taking off his headphones to greet you.

"How was your day?" You asked and wrapped an arm around him, kissing the top of his head.

"Chill."

"Did you sit here all day?"

He shrugged. "Kinda."

You noticed his one word answers. It wasn't like him.

Plopping down on the couch behind him, you got comfortable while he put his headphones back on to continue his game. He seemed to be in a mood. You sat there for a while.

"Are you gonna do anything else today?"

"Might go work on the cars or something."

"Are you good?" You questioned, hearing his tone. He was obviously annoyed.

"Yeah."

"Vinnie, I know you. What is going on? You know better than to keep things in."

Huffing as he turns his chair around the face you, fingers fidgeting in his lap and he felt like the biggest idiot in the world.

"I checked out Cody's Instagram." He mumbled, bracing for your response and you sat up straighter.

"You did what now?"

He didn't repeat himself but it's not like you needed him to.

"Why?" You asked.

"It's just sorta happened. I found his profile and...I just wanna know why he hasn't deleted those pictures with you. I mean, you did. Why didn't he?" Vinnie rambled.

"So...you sure you aren't the jealous type?" You eyed him.

He scoffed. "Okay I might be a little jealous, alright?"

"What's really going on? Because it can't be over some pictures from 2017."

He avoided your gaze as he tried to find the right words.

"When looking at all of that...I can tell that you seemed happy. Both of you. And he was so important to you and...I started questioning myself. Whether or not you were happy with me the same way you were with him. I mean, I know you told me about him a few times, but after finally seeing it, I just hope that I've reached your standards. Hopefully exceeded them. Seeing everything made me feel like I have something to prove."

You took in his words, feeling bad that he was even comparing.

"Vinnie-"

"-I know, I know. It's stupid."

"No, you're feelings are valid. I can understand why you thought that, but you're not second place to him. We had a good run, but that was a long time ago. I believe that everything happens for a reason. And you have exceeded my standards. You're such a great boyfriend and I love you so much. Please don't doubt that. And as far as the pictures go...I don't know why he hasn't deleted them. I took mine down because that time in my life was gone and I was starting fresh. Not because I have animosity towards him. And to be honest, there are probably a good handful of things I haven't deleted on my computer because I transfer data. But whether or not he takes them down is his business. Plus, he knows we're dating. My mom actually ran into him a few months ago and he told her that we look good together. You don't have anything to worry about."

He let out a deep breath and you stood up and opened your hand out to him. He took it and stood also.

"I'm so sorry. I don't know what got into me."

"It's okay. Kinda funny that you got worked up over some Instagram pictures anyway." You giggled as wrapped his arms around you.

"Guess I just like being protective of what's mine."

"As you should."

"But just one question though."

"Hmm?"

"If I had gone to your school, would you have picked me or him?"

You rolled your eyes and shoved him away. "You're literally so annoying. Bye." while he burst into a fit of laughter.
