Tricked and Trapped

The alliance sat in pure shock, and most in confusion (except Neuro of course- he'd been knew). Kai was drowning in guilt. She looked so...broken.

Broken mind, broken soul, broken girl.

Broken could be fixed.

Jay sat pondering like some ancient philosopher. "Why do I feel like I've missed a chapter?"

Lloyd and Garmadon were at their wits end. First, they had to find Nya, now Y/n. They had begun to wonder why no one else had found either of them. Sure, this jungle was big, but there were plenty of people to cover the ground.

Out of the blue, they heard someone running nearby. Someone who was clearly running from something.

"Y/n?" called Lloyd. He glanced at his father, who gave him a curt nod. They took off running toward the sounds, calling out as they went. It was only when they came crashing into the runner that they realised something was off.

"Nya! Are you alright?" cried Garmadon.

"They took Jay!" she replied, panicked, "they took everyone!"

"You're kidding right?" moaned Lloyd.

"I wish! I saw most of it. Those supplies they left lying around were trackers. That's how they found everyone. The only ones without anything were Kai and your friend Y/n."

"Wait so how did they get caught?"

"Skylor betrayed them. Chen's her father. I didn't see much but... I think Y/n knew he was there, but she was too late."

"What do you mean 'she knew'?"

"Well, from I what I saw, she was hurt, or maybe upset, but then she started shouting Chen was there, even though he was nowhere to be seen, but then he did appear."

She stopped for a moment to catch her breath. Watching your boyfriend- sorry, friend get attacked takes a lot out of a person.

"What kind of powers does Y/n have anyway? Invisibility sensors?"

Lloyd chuckled slightly. "You'll have to mention that to her."

"What?"

"She....doesn't know what her powers are."

Nya groaned. "So, the one person who can see Chen's tricks can't actually do anything about it?"

Garmadon put an arm around them both. "Relax, we'll get them back. But right now, we must get out of this jungle, before they find us."

As they ran, Lloyd thought of something else. "Y/n was given bait to come here, like we were with Zane."

"Oh yeah, Zane is here, at least I think so. Skylor used ice."

"Thank goodness."

"Yeah, but what about Y/n's family? Chen said he could find them."

"Maybe he lied?"

"But that doesn't make any sense. If Y/n doesn't know what her powers are, how did Chen know? And wouldn't he need someone around to tell her?"

"Unless Chen wants her to discover it on her own."

Lloyd frowned. "There's something more going on here."

Y/n tugged against the chains at her wrists. The drums were getting louder and louder, wrecking her head. Her thoughts were jumbled, and she couldn't focus on one thing. All she felt was a tight knot in her stomach. This place was sick to the bone, the people poisoned by the secrets and scandals. She herself could see it inside her, growing like a stubborn weed, forcing its way upward and out for all to see, and for all to be hurt by. Hadn't she pulled the wretched thing out years ago? Or was it just stamped into the ground, waiting to grow again?
