Chapter 59

Optimus looked at Bee for a moment before he lowered Saphira to the ground. "I apologize for the unusual way you woke up, Saphira."

She smiled and kissed him with a light giggle. "It is okay, Optimus. I fully understand when someone in your family needs support. I will be back shortly to offer up my own support." She gently pats his cheeks before skipping around him.

Optimus watched her leave as he remained in the med bay to observe Ratchet and find out what could be affecting Bee. As Saphira made her way into the lobby to go to her room, she stopped as she saw Arcee walking her direction.

"Morning, Arcee." The femme looked at her in surprise before frowning at her. Saphira flinched slightly from the gaze. "How was Jack this morning?"

The femme placed her hands on her hips, gazing back at Saphira curiously. "Why do you ask?"

"Because...we had a good talk yesterday, and I hope he is doing okay." Saphira walked closer to Arcee with a kind expression. "Listen, Arcee, I know I should have told you about Optimus and myself. We just had agreed not to...not for sometime. But...as the other two figured it out, I guess I should have told you."

"Hmmph...I am not sure if that would change anything, Saphira. You would still be with Optimus, and I feel it was a foolish choice on his part." Her face softened and she dropped to one knee, looking Saphira in the eye. "Listen, as much as I know you both are good for each other, I just feel that you should not have this kind of relationship. If you haven't interfaced, you should never do it. He could kill you." Saphira pressed her lips together and swallowed, deciding not to react to her comment about interfacing. "I am not angry...Jack was a lot happier this morning. Whatever you spoke about yesterday...you did a good job. I am just scared for you...for Optimus...and I worry what the decepticons will do to you when they find out."

Saphira was surprised, Arcee's actions and the way she said things made it seem like she was angry. "Really? But...I thought...I thought that you might hate me." The femme's optics widen in surprise. "You seem like you do...what you said yesterday hurt, Arcee."

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean it. I was...I was just frustrated and not in control of my emotions very well. I know, that is not an excuse...but all of it got to me. Now that you have spoken to Jack, I feel a little better." She exhales gently and smiled at Saphira. "I know that you and Optimus deserve happiness, and yes, I still don't condone your relationship. But...Optimus will likely take your side every time now. You are his world. I am glad he no longer gets up from recharge and asks for a report for any decepticon activity. Even if it is dangerous...it is good for him, and you too."

Saphira smiled and stepped closer to hug Arcee, the femme hugged her back happily. "Thank you, Arcee. I am sorry for causing you distress, it was never my intention. Or Optimus's."

"I know...I just...ever since I lost both of my sparkmates...I haven't been as good with compassion or saying the right words," Arcee said softly, Saphira stepped back from the hug and they smile at each other. "I will work on it, of course. But...I can't promise I will be very good at it."

"It is okay, Arcee. Thank you for speaking with me." Saphira glanced towards the med bay and gestured to it. "You should go and see Bee. He was looking very sad and guilty, I am sure you being there will cheer him up a lot."

Arcee nodded and stood up. "I guess I should." She looked down at Saphira as the girl began walking away. "I suppose you are going to have breakfast and get changed, right?"

Saphira nodded. "I'll be back in the med bay soon. Bulkhead might turn up with Raf as the boy was left without a ride this morning."

Arcee widened her optics. "Oh...we didn't even realize. Alright, I'll see you in the med bay soon."
