A Bittersweet Goodbye

Autumn- (whispers back) Oh right. (Talking normally) Ok well you have fun with that, Uh I guess you'll just meet me and Lisa at Matt's place?

Eric- Actually it shouldn't take me too long so I can just pick you guys up when I'm done.

Autumn- Oh ok.

Eric- Well I'll see you guys in a bit

Eric gets up, gives Autumn a kiss on the cheek and Lisa a kiss on the forehead and then leaves.

Brianna's apartment complex

10:27 Am

Eric arrives at Brianna's apartment complex and finds Ben waiting for him there.

Eric- Hey Ben, how've you been?

Ben- I've been good Eric, you?

Eric- I'm doing good too. So, are you ready?

Ben- I think so, do you really think she'll be happy to see me after all these years?

Eric- Of course she will. Ben, you have nothing to worry about, alright.

Ben- Are you sure?

Eric- Yes, now come on it's time to see your daughter.

Ben- Alright

Eric and Ben Walk up to Brianna's apartment door where Eric knocks on the door.

From Inside- Who is it?

Eric- Brianna it's Eric.

The door opens

Brianna- Oh hey Eric, it's good to see you.

Eric- Likewise, also there's someone here who'd like to see you... Someone you haven't seen in a while.

Brianna- Who?

Ben then steps out and reveals himself.

Ben- Hey Brianna, Longtime no see...

...

Brianna (Unsure)- Hey dad, how've you been?

Ben- I'm doing better now, thanks to Eric here.

Brianna- Really (Looks at Eric who nods in agreement, then looks back at her dad) So you really want to rekindle our relationship, even after what happened all those years ago?

Ben- Yes, I do. Brianna, you were the best thing that ever happened to me... and your mother.

Brianna- Speaking of mom, you never really told me who she was.

Eric- Yeah, I'd like to know that myself actually

Ben- Your mother was a beautiful woman, one that I didn't think I deserved, but she fell for me, nonetheless.

Brianna- Yeah but who was she?

Ben- Your mother never wanted you to know who she was.

Brianna- Why?

Ben- Because she was afraid that if you knew what kind of person she was then you wouldn't like her.

Brianna- I don't care what she was like, all I want to know is her name and what she looked like.

Ben- Do you really want to know that?

Brianna- Yes!

Ben- (Sigh) Ok, I'll tell you her name, but you both promise that you won't be upset when you learn her name?
