Ch5. Oh! To feel the feeling

"Alright! I am sorry I forgot about him. I was totally absorbed in the work and I didn't think he would end up disturbing you in your cabin. I will take responsibility. If you want me to finish up any of your work, I can do that," Kiko apologized, and Natasha shook her head vigorously.

"Oh, God! You don't have to be so formal. We work in the same department after all. And I just want to get rid of that annoying ass ASAP. Please be casual with me from now on. I think we'd make good friends," Natasha didn't leave an opportunity to befriend her friend's love interest.

"Yeah, sure," Kiko chuckled awkwardly and turned to Seokjin, who was eagerly looking at her.

"Seokjin, will you please leave Natasha's cabin now? I need you here for some work," Kiko called and Seokjin took off, with the speed of a bullet train, eyes smiling like he had tasted the ice cream for the very first time.

Just like a baby

"Off you go! I'll leave now. Thank you, Kiko," Natasha left the two who were busy staring at each other, words unexchanged.

"You seem like you are avoiding me, Sunbae. Did I do something wrong?" Seokjin pouted, making Kiko's heart flutter. For a moment, she was concerned if he could stand alone against the corporate world. He is too innocent for the nefarious industry.

"I was just too engrossed with the work. This would never happen again. I am sorry. But please don't disturb anyone else. As much as it is harmless, my job is always on the line, and yours too. I don't want us to give anyone a bad impression about us," Kiko chided and Seokjin nodded understandingly.

Little does she know

He would never allow any harm to her and her job

"Nat wouldn't report us. Don't worry, I would not have barged into anyone else's cabin. I am sorry for worrying you. I can make it up to you. Tteotbokki? My treat?" Seokjin asked, his eyes gleaming for a positive answer.

It was unexpected for Kiko. She didn't even have the slightest idea of Seokjin trying to take her out to the tteotbokki stall again. Her mind wanted to refuse, being rational about the feelings that could mess with the heart but the latter didn't care. Her heart wanted to spend some time with him. She was not sure if it was romantic but she knew his presence was comforting.

"Alright," Kiko accepted the offer and her intern internally screamed. Natasha smiled at the two holding hearts in their smiles. Her cabin's got quite a view, one of the very few things that made her happy with her position.

Work got simple since Kiko had completed most of her assignments for the day. Seokjin was utterly confused as to why he was assigned to research on the types of coffee in the world when it had nothing to do with his work. Nevertheless, he finished the report perfectly and was extremely happy with the reward.

"Tteotbokki time," Seokjin cheered and Kiko just smiled. She can't think of herself growing up like Seokjin. He is optimistic, brave, and kind. She knew she could never become a person like him but seeing him, gave her a little push to try.

She wants to be happy too

Just like her when she was with him

"Two plates of Tteotbokki, extra spicy. Odeng too," Seokjin ordered, clutching the straps of his bag, and walked back to sit down beside Kiko. He wondered if there is any time left for him to charm Kiko before his father could arrange the marriage with Kim Irene.
