Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy?

"Oh, yeah, real mature, Lucas," Mike says annoyed.

"Oh, El, I wish we could make out forever," Lucas says, "And never hang out with any of our friends."

"Lucas, stop," Max says to him annoyed as Will and Gabby laugh.

"Will and Gabby think it's funny," Lucas tells Max.

"Because it is," Will says.

"Yeah, it's so funny that I want to spend romantic time with my girlfriend," Mike says to them.

"I'm spending romantic time with my girlfriend," Lucas says to Mike as he puts his arm around Gabby who smiles at him.

They got on the escalator and pushed past people because they were going too slow.

"Hey!"

"Excuse us! Sorry! Sorry!" Mike says as he pushes through.

"Excuse me I'm sorry!" Gabby says as she pushes past them.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry!"

"Sorry!"

"Excuse I'm sorry." Max says as they all got off the escalator, Mike pushes past an older girl who says, "Watch it!"

Gabby hears Erica who was eating ice cream with her friends say, "Yeah! Watch it, nerd!"

"Hey, Erica!" Gabby says waving at her.

"Hey, Gabby," Erica says with a smile.

Lucas never understood how out of all his friends Gabby was the only one that Erica liked and respected.

"Isn't it past your bedtime?" Lucas asked his sister.

"Isn't it time you died?" Erica asked.

"Psycho!"

"Butthead!"

"Mallrat!"

"Fart face!"

Lucas sticks out his tongue at her.

"Oh, now that was mature," Gabby says as she grabs his arm.

They made it to Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Parlor. Mike gets to the front desk first and started to hit the bell repeatedly.

"Hey, dingus, your children are here," The girl at the front desk says, calling to Steve.

"Hi, Robin," Gabby says with a smile.

"Hey, Gabby."

Steve opened the sliding window from the back room and said, "Again? Seriously?"

Then Mike hits the bell again. Steve nodded his head and they all quickly walked into the back room.

Steve opened the back hallway door leading them to the movie theater.

"Come on, come on," Steve says annoyed with them,

"I swear if anybody hears about this-"

"We're dead!" They all say at the same time.

"Thank you, Stevie," Gabby says.

"Yeah, whatever."

Mike slowly opened the door to the movie theater and looked around for a second before saying, "All clear."

He opened the door and walked slowly but quickly into the theater that is showing "Day of the Dead". They pushed past some people to get to the five empty seats. Gabby sits with Lucas and Max on either side of her.

They all sit down in their seats Gabby says in between Max and Lucas. They looked up at the screen to see that they had made it right in time.

"See Lucas, we made it," Mike whispered to him.
