30. The tongue thing

"Um... It's just us right?... Noone else from school..." She asked and Nancy twitched slightly and nodded.

"Yeah. Noone but the people at Corroded Coffin's concert." She confirmed and Y/N nodded, unbuckling herself from the car, and they all finally walked out of it. She could hear slight music from the inside and she noticed Robin's car, one she didn't know about, and then... Eddie's van. He was here already. She cursed slightly under her breath as they walked up to the front door. Mike rang the doorbell and a few seconds later, Steve opened the door.

"Hello ladies!" He smiled at everyone, greeting them. He looked at Y/N and kept the smile on his face. "Glad you could make it." He says to her and she smiles at him, grateful for inviting her over.

"Happy birthday psycho." She greeted Steve and gave him a soft hug before pulling away and walking inside the house. She heard everyone else greet Steve and she turned around to see Nancy hugging him a little too much. She had a hunch Nancy had feelings for Steve, but she didn't know the extent of it. She kept walking, followed by Mike and Lucas, and she finally entered the living room, where all the chatting was emerging from.

"Holy fuck, I already drank two cans of beer! Where the fuck have you all been?" Robin yelled as she stood up from the couch and threw her hands up. Y/N held her breath as she saw Eddie slowly turn around to look at her, and she almost fell as she saw him wear his jean vest, with a ripped long black sleeved shirt underneath and some ripped up jeans as well. Chains were falling off from his belt and he was so opposite from what she was. He was looking at her as well, checking her out, and he couldn't help but lick his bottom lip as he took a sip from his beer, not breaking his eye contact with her.

"Calm down Buckley. We're here, aren't we?" Y/N said to her and Max's eyes widened as well as Dustin's as they saw Mike and Lucas walk into the living room, chatting away. Everything fell into silence and Y/N decided to break it. "Oh yeah, I invited Sinclair. Hope you don't mind." Eddie smiled into the can, knowing the reason why she invited him. She also had a soft spot for the younglins of the group.

"Uh, hi..." Max greeted and Lucas stuttered. She had her hair tied in a side ponytail, and she was wearing a pink dress with a black belt hugging her waist. It was not at all how she dresses but she had hope Lucas was coming over tonight, so she got help from Robin, almost against her will, as she looked for the perfect dress at Starcourt Mall.

"Hi..." Lucas replied to Max and everything went silent. Steve and Nancy finally walked into the living room and Y/N immediately gave the box to Steve.

"What's thi—Holy shit." He exclaimed as he looked at it. Eddie looked at what he was holding and a frown came to his face.

"I didn't know what to bring over..." Y/N said and Steve was just shaking his head at her, a smile forming on his lips.

"No, it's all good. It's perfect actually. Thank you!" He said happily, the music was not loud but it was fair enough for everyone to hear.

"Do you gift everyone Johnny Walkers?" Eddie exclaimed out of nowhere and Y/N's eyebrows became a frown and she looked at him. Was he jealous? She shook her head at him, rolling her eyes, and went to sit down next to Robin. Nancy approached them as well, sitting next to Y/N and she was holding two beers. She handed one to Y/N and then opened hers up.

"Thanks." Y/N thanked Nancy and opened her beer as well, chugging the content down. She needed the alcohol. The nervousness in her belly was increasing each second she sat near him. Lucas then walked over to the cooler and grabbed a beer himself, making Mike and Dustin widen their eyes and Max was just staring at him bewildered by how easily he got to it. "Sinclair..." Y/N called him out and glared at him.
