"(Y/n)? Try this one on." She opened the door a crack and slipped a dress through. I took it from her, and she closed the door gently behind her.
I took the dress carefully off of the hanger and put it on. It was a strapless, corset princess dress with a sweetheart neckline and little silver jewels all over the torso.
I loved it as soon as I laid my eyes on it.After I had the dress on and situated, I opened the door and walked out to where the girls were sitting.
As I turned around the corner, they all looked at me and gasped with huge smiles on their faces. I stepped up on the riser in front of the mirror and looked at myself, poofing out the skirt of the dress a little.
"(Y/n), that dress is beautiful." Zoe exclaimed, covering her mouth with her hands.
"It's absolutely amazing!" Carly added in.I smoothed down the dress with my hands and pulled up the top.
"I do really love it, but it's kinda big, don't you think?" I looked behind me at them through the mirror while fixing the top again."That's what alterations are for!" The woman who was helping us said as she came up behind me. She clipped the back of the dress, making it tighter. Once she was done, it fit perfectly.
"How long until the special day?" She asked me.
"Almost nine months." I replied.
"Oh honey, that's lots of time! We can have the dress altered and back to you with time to spare." She smiled.I looked over at Carly, Zoe and Carrie.
"Told you so, (y/n)." Carrie grinned at me.
I smiled and turned back towards the mirror, looking up and down at the dress.
I was busy admiring it when I noticed my ring reflecting in the mirror. I looked down at my hand and smiled, twirling the ring around my finger. I peered at my reflection again, before feeling some tears beginning to form in my eyes."Happy tears?" Zoe smiled gently at me, and I nodded my head while smiling and wiping the tears off of my cheeks.
"So, is this your dress?" The woman asked me and grinned.
"... I think so, yes." I smiled even wider. Carrie, Zoe and Carly all squeeled and jumped up from their seats, enveloping me in another hug.~~end of flashback~~
Phil and I were sitting on the couch in the lounge of their apartment scrolling through netflix while Dan was upstairs recording a video. Phil was just about to look through the anime section when he got a text. He picked up his phone and read the message, quickly texted back and stood up.
"I'm going... um... out." Phil said, shoving his phone into his pocket and grabbing his jacket from the table.
"Where?" I looked up at him and asked.
"Nowhere." He answered while pulling the jacket over his tshirt."Phiiillllliiippp. Where are you going?" I sprawled out over the couch and laughed.
"I'll tell you later!" He smiled and walked to the front door to pull on his shoes."Are you meeting someone? Is it a girl? IS MY LITTLE PHILIP GOING ON A DATE?!" I shouted.
"Bye (y/n)!" I heard him laugh before the door open and shut. I smiled to myself, then turned my attention back to the tv.A few minutes after Phil had left, Dan came back down from his bedroom.
"(Y/nnnnnnnnnn)." He groaned as he walked over towards me. Dan plopped down on the couch and laid his head on my lap.
"What's up hot stuff?" I smiled as I pushed his hair out of his face.
"I'm tireddddd." He looked up at me, then closed his eyes.
"It's only nine o'clock." I said.
"Videos take a lot out of me." He laughed. I smiled and leaned down, kissing his forehead. We sat in a pleasant silence for a few minutes, when a thought crossed my mind.
"Dan?" I broke the silence while continuing to run my fingers through his hair.
"Yes (y/n)?" He answered, still with his eyes closed.
