Kali had attachment issues and abandonment issues, she didn't know when or how to let go of someone that showed her attention.

Growing up without her mum, and her Father barely being around, she always sought out masculine attention to feel validated. She was beautiful and had a great body, so she used that to her advantage.

She was also clingly and obssessive, so when Dave was busy which he always was, she would get mad and start seeking for attention as always then she'll end up cheating. She'd beg Dave and he'll take her back and the cycle continued. 2 outta 10 times Dave would get mad and cheat too, to feed his ego but deep down he was hurt and wished she'd stop.

Dave was the first guy that actually showed her love and cared deeply for her and she didn't want to imagine a life without Dave in it. Yes, they fought all the time but she would rather be there than anywhere else.

Dave had both attachment and detachment issues, from growing up with an emotionally detached father and having an emotional overprotective mother. He kept himself busy cause he didn't like to feel, when he felt anything he felt it so deeply it was insane. He also had a terrible temper like his Dad but just like Melly, he learned to suppress his emotions..

He too was fucked up in his own way and he liked the obsession Kali had with him until he started realizing realized she wasn't all that okay emotionally and neither was he so they became codependent. She was an amazing person when she wanted to be but she needed help..
