10. A letter from an old friend

Two days later, at the hunter's mansion.

Alva was in his room reading a book when suddenly Violetta knocked on the door.

Alva: What is it ?

Alva was very surprised. He didn't believe [Y/n] would come looking for him, but he still rushed over to confirm. When he reached the lobby, he found [Y/n] waiting. He could hardly believe his eyes.

Alva: [Y/n]...?

She looks tired.

[Y/n]: Can we talk somewhere private ?
Alva: Oh...sure.

[Y/n] quietly followed Alva to the back garden. Alva led her to the corner of the garden, carefully checking their surroundings first.

Alva: No one will see us here. What were you going to say earlier ?

[Y/n] didn't answer immediately. She looked at the ground silently for a while.

[Y/n]: I'm sorry for treating you badly.

In this quiet corner of the garden, even a whisper could be heard clearly. Even so, Alva still thought he had misheard, or that he was imagining her apologizing.

Alva: What...? I think i heard wrong. What did you say ?
[Y/n]: I'm sorry for treating you badly.

Tears started rolling down [Y/n]'s cheeks. She lowered her head and covered her face with her hands.

[Y/n]: I'm sorry for ruining your relationship with Luca. I'm sorry for the trouble I got you into. You've always tried for me, but I've always been mean to you.
Alva: Wait, [Y/n]...
[Y/n]: I was also selfish. I just wanted things to go my way, just clinging to the past. If I had been stronger, it wouldn't have turned out like this. I'm sorry, for everything. You deserve better.

Alva suddenly hugged [Y/n].

Alva: It's okay. Everything is okay now.
