Twisted Wonderland Book 5: A Beauitful Tyrant

The Next Day, First day of training camp

Briar and the others have been busy preparing the dorm for training camp. They make sure the dorm is nice and clean, and doesn't have that much dust. After they've finished cleaning the dorm, the SDC group arrives to begin the camp.

Rook happily says, "Bonjour, Roi des Harmony and her merry men. We shall be availing ourselves of your hospitality for the next four weeks. Thank you for having us."

"Whatever it takes to get that tuna," Grim bluntly says.

Jasper and Tanzanite sternly glare at him.

"Wait, who's harmony?" Sereia asks.

Trinket tilts her head with a confused look.

"Why it's Ms. Briar of course. Because of her musical talent. And how it's nice how she and your group keep each other in perfect harmony," Rook happily says.

"I don't know about harmony, but you got the musical talent part right," Jasper replies.

Briar smiles and says, "Hi everyone, and welcome to Ramshackle Dorm."

"Please make yourself at home," Sereia happily says.

Even Trinket nods her head in reply.

Soon, everyone begins to enter the dorm.

Vil looks around, "My. It's certainly cleaner than I was expecting."

"Hello..." Epel shyly says.

Kalim looks around in excitement, "Wow, the ceilings are so low in here. I'd hit my head if I tried to ride my magic carpet around."

Jamil sighs, "Maybe don't fly indoors at all. Briar, would you mind letting me share Kalim's room or take a room adjacent to his? This dorm is less secure than Scarabia, since you don't have to pass through a mirror to get here."

But Kalim says, "You're so paranoid, Jamil. We haven't had a single assassination attempt on campus since I enrolled.

However, Jamil says, "It's not you I'm worried about; it's me, if anything happens to you. Just because you were safe yesterday doesn't mean you'll be safe today."

"Um okay. We haven't actually decided which room to stay, so you all can choose the rooms you want. There aren't that many so it would be a good idea for you to share," Briar says.

Then Tanzanite says, "There should be a room right next to ours. It has two beds so you can sleep in one."

"That would do," Jamil says.

Soon, Ace and Deuce walk in, and they have a few extra besides their bag of clothes.

Ace happily says, "Hey, guys!"

"Thanks for having us, Briar," Deuce says.

Then hands a few boxes to Briar, "Here, these are from Trey."

"Thank you, Deuce. I'll be sure to thank Trey too when I see him," Briar says.

Curious, Grim asks, "Ooh, what's in the boxes?"

He climbs on Briar's shoulder and sniffs the box, "I smell a sweet treat!"

"It's a homemade chocolate cake and some apple pie, courtesy of Trey. He said if we were imposing on another dorm's hospitality, we should at least bring gifts. What is he, our mom? We can split it with everybody later," Ace says.

Grim is excited, "Myah hah! You can always count on Mr. Shrewd Specs to do the thoughtful thing."

However, Vil then takes the boxes from Briar, "I'm afraid I'll have to confiscate those gifts."
