"This coming from the person stuck on the floor." He retorted earning him a growl from Ivy.

"Will you both shut up?! Desmond if you can't keep quiet get the hell out." I said through grinding teeth.

"And miss the entertainment? I think not."

"Then be quiet."

The room fell with a heavy silence. The only thing that filled the room was Andy's shaky breaths and his unrhythmic heart beat.

Focusing my sights back on the boy that preyed on my mate I feared my wolf would suddenly snap, but he hadn't. He pulled Andy away from the wall throwing him on the floor next to his half packed bag.

An object slide away from him and across the floor.

"Grab you bags." I ordered picking up the slick black object. It was his cell phone and as I turned it over I came to realize it was unlocked.

"Give me that, it's mine."

I shoved Andy back onto the floor, the heavy thud that followed was slightly satisfying but the fact that I had full access to his phone was even more so. "It's mine now."

I scrolled through the messages shocked when I discovered they were much more intriguing than I could have ever imagined them to be.

They've been hanging out a lot more. They've made a deal between each other. He promised her that he's changed: ANDY

PHIL: You can't let that happen. I thought I told you to keep her away from him.

I'm trying, but he's persistent :ANDY

PHIL: Listen closely Andy. If Seraphina so much as allows him to mark her, it's over me and it's over for you.

It's not that easy. I'm trying but she won't listen.:ANDY

PHIL: If you want her after all this is over you can't let her be marked. She won't be human anymore.

I nearly crushed the phone with my bare hand. The urge to break something was growing ever more exciting.

"What is it?" Desmond asked coming closer. I tossed him the phone. I dug my nails into the collar of Andy's shirt.

"You're lucky I'm not like other Alphas or else you'd be dead right now." Andy clutched his back pack between us as I moved us out of the room. "You can get up now Ivy."

"Can I-?" She started.

"No."

"You didn't even let me-"

"I didn't have to. The answer is no because if anyone is going to kill him it'll be me and only me." I clarified shoving the human out into the hallway.

"You're gonna kill me?" I said nothing to his question. He tried to dig his heels in the floor to slow us down. "No, wait! I-I can explain, I-I didn't want to do this. I didn't want to work with Phil. He made me. H-he made me-"

"Did he make you rape Phina too? Or was that all your doing?" I shot back. He instantly sealed his lips. "That's what I thought, now keep moving."

Aspen's and Ivy's Cabin

Phina read over the messages, her fingers trembled as she scrolled.

'You shouldn't have given her the messages.' Desmond voiced through our link. I had been tempted the last couple minutes to shut him out his flaring anger and annoyance entering my mind every so often.

It was becoming increasingly difficult to get my thoughts straight. I didn't need his to rummage through.

'And what would you have done? Just not have told her?' I snapped.

Desmond scoffed aloud. 'I would have killed him. End of story. She'd never have to know Philip's deranged plans and-'

"Are you two talking about me? My ears are ringing and I can just feel the irritation coming off of you two." Phina slide the phone across the table. It stopped just shy of the edge.

"No."

"Yes."

My head snapped over to Desmond. Couldn't he swallow is honesty down for once?

"Why would you say that?"

"It's the truth." He retorted a slight smirk creeping across his face.

"And-"

"And why would you lie, Osiris." My name on her lips sent a shiver down my spine. What I would do just for her to say it again. I didn't even mind the fact that she was saying it to scold me.

"It was a fib."

Desmond snickered. I turned to snap at him but someone else had beat me to it. "Can you leave us, Desmond?"

Desmond's eyes dilated slightly before offering an awkward nodded and exiting the cabin. Phina watched carefully for the door to shut the entire way before turning to face me.

Her own pupils were blown out as she took a shaky breath. Phina struggled to come out of her feral side but being no different than a pup she didn't know how and from the looks of it, it was beginning to make her panic.

I reached across the table resting my hand on top of hers. Though we were bonded I hoped that a least her wolf would recognize me and my touch to calm her down. It worked. Phina slowly let the tension in her neck go closing her eyes tightly as her head lolled back against the chair.

Her chest rose and fell with heavy breaths. Her  flawless neck seemed to gleam as I watched her throat bob while she swallowed.

"What do I do?" She whispered.

I wanted to tell her to mark me, having a wolf of not at this point I just wanted to wear her branding. I knew she'd never let me mark her but maybe I could convince her to do it to me. Maybe she didn't even need my mark to draw out her wolf.

The thought of never placing my own claim on her left a mental wound between my wolf an I. It didn't matter how much he howled in agony, I wasn't a monster.

She tugged on her bottom lip with her teeth. I reached over and gently pulled down on her chin releasing her lip from her teeth.

"I'm tired of feeling like a pawn. I feel like I'm a pawn
