Start from the beginning

"Doctor..." I muttered.

She kissed my neck and I could feel how turned on she was at me muttering her name. "That's the psychic bond, my love." She said turning me in her grip until I was pinned to the wall. "I've wanted to form one with you for so long." She shook her head pulling away. The water rushing down the sides of her face. "After today, I need it more than ever." I saw that she tried to hide her sadness and worry with a smile, but the bond was already formed. I could feel it.

"Ok." I said reaching forward and brushing a strand of hair out of her face. I leaned in and kissed her and she kissed me back roughly. If this is what she needed, then I'll happily indulge her.

The Doctor landed the console with a smile on her face. "Here we are, home again, safe again." She turned to see the faces of her companions.

"Thanks Doc." Graham said fixing his jacket. "Sorry for ruining your weekend with, (Y/n)."

"Don't worry about it, I'm sure I'll find a way to make it up to her." She then glanced at you with a raised eyebrow and a small blush spread across your cheeks. Yaz and Ryan said their goodbyes as well before leaving. The Doctor took you both into the time vortex. The Doctor mindlessly began fiddling with things on the console. Something the Master had said stuck in her mind and a small feeling of dread filled her hearts.

"You ok?" You asked with a questioning look. She loved you, and you're abilities to pick up when she wasn't herself, but she didn't want to worry you with things that didn't matter to you.

"I'm fine." She said forcing the dread away and wearing the familiar mask she always wore. She leaned her back on the console and crossed her arms.

"Are you sure?" You asked again making sure.

"I'm ok." She said but you didn't look to convinced.

"Want to be alone?" You asked and a small smile came to the Doctor's face. "I don't need a psychic bond to tell your moods, you know." You tapped the side of your temple. The Doctor let out a huff of amusement as you took a few steps closer. The Doctor had disconnected the bond after your shared shower, not wanting to overwhelm you with a new feelings and thoughts. Especially with what was flowing through the Doctor now. She didn't wish to force her worries and stress upon you. You didn't deserve that. "That's what it is, isn't it. You want to be alone?"

"Please?" The Doctor asked pleadingly. "Just for a bit."

"Ok." You leaned in and kissed her before giving her a small smile. "Just, come find me when you need me."

"I always need you." The Doctor tossed back kissing you again. She pulled away and rested her forehead against yours.

"Ok, well find me when you want me, then." You chuckled.

"I always want you." The Doctor tossed back.

"You're not helping your case for being alone, you know." You said with a laugh.

"I know." The Doctor kissed your nose before pulling away completely.

"I'm already a distraction to you, I should get going." You said teasingly. "I'll be in the library, for when you come looking."

"Ok." The Doctor replied as you backed away. "I love you." She called as you turned your back.

"I love you too, Doctor." You smiled at her before leaving the console room all together. Her thoughts raced as she leaned back on the console. The master was wrong, he had to be. Gallifrey was safe and sound. Frozen in a tiny fraction of the Time War in a bubble at the end of the universe. It couldn't be gone, not after all that work she and her past selves went through to save it. He was lying. The Doctor shook her head. He had to be. She looked up at the walls of the console room in thought. There was only one way to be sure she supposed. She pushed off the console and worked her way around the console. Finally pulling the lever. This would settle her uneasy feeling. Gallifrey was safe.
