"Then what are we doing standing here?"
What they didn't know that just across town, in a blue Jeep parked at the school, a rift really had been opened, and the person they've been eager to remember had finally crossed and fallen right where he'd been taken.
And all Stiles Stilinski could think of at that moment was how Amelie Nightly had saved him. Again.
🥰
Amelie had never been happier to be right. When they arrived at the school, Stiles' Jeep was gone, with tire tracks to replace it. "This looks fresh."
"It's from Stiles' Jeep," Amelie said with a hopeful smile, "It must have just left."
Lydia furrowed her brows, "Without his keys?"
"Well, half the time, he got it started with a screwdriver," Malia replied and Amelie nodded, "Then he's here. We have to tell Scott."
"We should probably tell Scott about that, too."
Following Malia, Amelie's eyes rounded at the sight of train tracks moving right into the school. The train was getting closer and closer...
The three girls walked into the school, astonished at the fact the train tracks followed right to the library, where Amelie swung the doors open, only to be more shocked at what awaited them. Dozens among dozens of people sat on benches and a board hung up on a wall, with the words Beacon Hills— On time.
"Why is there a train station in the middle of the library?" Malia asked as they walked among the tranced people.
"There's also a train station in the Wild Hunt," Amelie replied, waving a hand in front of a stranger's face.
"Any chance they're connected?"
"I would say "high." Like, one-hundred-percent."
"If there's a train station, then there's probably a train," Lydia said anxiously, "And if there's a train... It's going to the Wild Hunt."
"They're all gonna be taken," Amelie uttered before looking at her friends determined, "They can't get on that train."
"Um... Okay, listen up, everybody!" Malia began to shout, "We've all got to get out of here. We gotta go right now. It's bad! We have to go!"
But nobody even looked their way.
"Hello?!" Malia shouted in a man's face.
"Uh, hello? Sir?!"
"How do we get them to leave if they can't hear us?" Malia groaned out.
Amelie paced between the rows of people until she stopped at a familiar face holding a newspaper, "Uh... Maybe there's someone who can..."
Malia looked up at the Anchor before walking up to her. They and Lydia watched as Peter sat like there was nothing in front of him until Malia kneeled in front of her father, waving in front of his face while screaming, "Peter!"
But he wasn't responding.
"Malia..."
"What?"
Lydia exchanged knowing looks with Amelie before telling the werecoyote, "The only way we were able to break through the Hunt was through an emotional connection..."
The Hale girl faked a frown, "Dang. Wish I could help." At the pointed looks, she shook her head, "I'm not saying it. I'm not saying it."
"Okay. Well, I guess everyone dies," Amelie shrugged with a sigh.
