Chapter 2 - A DEEP situation

Jumping to the side he pointed at the two tailed fox who was focusing on an invention, "And this wily little fox is the crusty but benign Tails--"

"NINE!" the fox jumped to his defence, teeth bared, "It's Nine. The emphasis is on the Nine." His exaggeration and desperation to make his name clear to Sonic was something you found funny and couldn't help but chuckle at. His ears were twitching with annoyance as Sonic put his hands up in defence. A smile remaining on your lips as sonic continued.

"And these two slightly thuggish party crashers consist of the alluring and kick-butt international bat of mystery, Rouge..." everyone again ducked as the laser came around. You tilted your head to the side as you stood up, confused.

"It's Rebel," she corrected, shaking Sonic's hand off her shoulder.

"An knuckles," Sonic finished unfazed.

"It's Knucks," he defended, crossing his arms, "and will someone please stop this laser?"

Again ignoring everyone he proceeded, "And Amy is..."

"I am a killing machine created by the Chaos Council to enforce their autocratic rule," Rusty interrupted.

"Well, Amy's the sweetest friends you could ever ask for," he finished, once again ducking to avaoid the laser.

Finally, he moved onto you. His eyes stared at you for a moment but he speared stumped. Tilting you head, you crossed you arms. Your tail lightly swayed from side to side as you waited for his comment on you.

"You... I don't actually know who you are. I didn't even know you existed," he spoke thoughtfully, putting a hand under his chin in thought, "Whats you name kid?"

Raising an eye brow up you responded, "I'm not a kid. And its (Y/N)." Nodding he returned to the middle of the undignified circle you all managed to form. He stood there for a second. The longer you looked at him, the more you could see the gears chugging along in his head.

"No one remembers anything. So, we're gonna fix it. Because we got the whole band back together! Plus one," he just managed to conclude before a loud bang at the door caught everyone's attention. Gazing at the door Rusty just locked, your ears twitched at the loud pounding that came from the other side. From what your ears could gather, it was a whole pack of eggforces.

"This way, or you're finished," Nine exclaimed rushing towards the opposite door. Skidding to a halt he used his other tail arm thingy's to press numbers on the keypad. As the other door opened, a line of eggforcers got cut in half by the rotating laser. Deciding your fate was better in the hands of a fox you just met, you were the first to turn around and follow him. As you approached, he shot at a camera, disabling it.

Making your way through the door, everyone began the long track down the long corridors. You found yourself jealous of Nine as he didn't have to feel the pain of walking after just fighting as he used his extra limbs to travel for him. Rolling your eyes, you crossed your arms and followed along.

Clank Clank CLANK

Your fur raised on end at the familiar sound of eggforcers approaching. Alert to the sound, your ears perked up, you head darting left and right. Your scratched up ear ringing as the noise came closer.

"What is it?" Knucks asked, brining attention to you. Your ears flicked, picking up one every single footstep and engine growl the robots made.

"More eggforcers, incoming from both sides," you swiftly answered. At the sound of this Sonic dashed ahead.

"Baddies this way," he stated as he ran passed, continuing to check the back, before returning "Baddies that way. They're coming from both sides like (Y/N) said. How did you know?" Your sensitive ears flattened as you tail slightly dropped. You stared to the side, you hand holding your robotic arm in comfort.
