"If the humans take me back to their city, let's just say I'm not coming back" she said in a mere whisper as her voice broke.

Y/n's Pov:

All you wanted to do was forget about that night. The night you had told the Na'vi boy everything even though you had only known him for a few days.

You wanted to forget about that night. The night that you had taken down your mask and almost cried about how scared you really were.

You wanted to forget about that night. The night that you and the Na'vi boy both realised how strong your connection was. That you couldn't deal without being with each other.

You wanted to forget about that night. The night you and the boy questioned eywa. Why you hadn't met till just a few days ago. Why this connection between the 2 of you was so strong in that short amount of time.

You secretly hated it. Knowing that you liked him but he hated you. How the one that you were attracted to didn't like you back.

Sure he showed that he cared for you. But you knew deep down it wasn't true care. He hated you and that wasn't going to change.

Of course you didn't know this at the time but Neteyam did not hate the moon haired girl. Not one bone in his body hated you. He liked you just the same. He felt that you didn't like him back. A least not as much as him.

but if only he knew.

The next few days flew by and the Sully's were to be leaving the following day. And frankly you were upset. You had gotten so close to the kids despite Jake and Neytiri's words about them not going near you.

Lo'ak had joined your night routines with Neteyam and Kiri but didn't get as close to you as the others. And Tuk, when not busy packing, was learning to braid, using you for her practice.

Kiri and lo'ak would hang around, ordered by Neytiri just in case you were to do something to tuk.

Tuk tried so hard to join on the outings but Neteyam always made sure she stayed back. He didn't want her getting tired or hurt.

Tonight was to be the last night before they left. The whole clan gathered including the science guys and yourself. There was singing and dancing. And really was a joyous occasion. The next day would be sad.

The Sully's put on their masks and acted as happy as they could that night. You saw them smiling, but minutes later when they thought no one was watching they would have tears.

This was their home. Their lives and they had to abandon it for their safety and the clans.

You felt as though you were intruding a bit on the affairs so near the end of the night you left and sat on the edge of the cave opening to the camp. Looking out to the clear sky.

But you weren't alone for long. You watched as that Na'vi boy you liked sat next to you. You hadn't actually had one bit of alone time since that night he had hugged you. It was almost as though the 2 of you avoided it at all times. But the moment felt right now.

"How are you feeling?" You asked quietly. Swinging your legs.

"Honestly?" He asked looking to you. You gave him a nod for him to continue. "I'm terrified." He scoffed at his own words. He looked back to the dark blue sky ahead of him.

Silence washed over the 2 of you for a few minutes. It was calming. But we had to speak about what was going on between us. Before he left.

"I'm sorry about all of this" he said. "I don't understand what is going on" you shook your head at his words.

"Neither do I. I fell so many emotions towards you and it makes me so angry that it can't be the same with you... You just feel one very strong one."

"Which is?" He asked, turning his head to you. Your eyes flutted at the soft look on his face. You could most feel the feeling. The way he liked you. The way he wanted to be with you. How he longed for you just like you did him.

stupid connection

You shook your head and looked away. It couldn't be true. Those feels you had felt come off of him weren't true. And the worst part was that Neteyam knew you knew how he truly felt but chose to ignore it anyway.

"Hate." You said simply, not having the courage to look at him again.

"You know I never said I hated you...not once have I said those words." He said leaning forward and trying to look into your eyes.

"What words?"

"I hate you" he answered. You just looked to him and smiled. You couldn't help it. You had finally got him to say that he hates you.

Once he realised he rolled his eyes and turned away from you a bit annoyed mumbling to himself. You felt a bit guilty.

"I don't hate you" he whispered. Just as he went to look at you his name was called and he was told to go back to the group of dancing and singing Na'vi. He stood up and held his hand out for me to take.

"No" you said shaking your head. "I think I'll stay here a little longer."

"Ok" he looked at you for a few more seconds before smiling.

"Im going to miss you y/n"
