63. Inevitable pain

"What are we waiting for, let's go in!" Robin exclaimed rather loudly, blushing from head to toe as she struts into the bar, followed by the other girls. Y/N, with a smirk on her face, linked arms with Chrissy, who was also trying to catch her breath from the interaction. They all immediately saw Steve, Dustin, Mike and Lucas sitting on a table, starting to march towards them.

"Looking good ladies." Steve commented with a smile on his face and Nancy immediately lit up, her nervousness long gone as she sat next to her ex. Steve was overjoyed, but he didn't flirt or do any moves on her, if anything, Nancy was the one going after him, baffling him completely, but he couldn't be any happier. He wasn't acting on it out of respect for Jonathan, even if he didn't like the guy. He also doesn't want to be the side piece of anyone, if Nancy wanted him, then she has to want him for real.

"Thank you!" Chrissy said with a smile on her face, and everyone sat down, Y/N in between Chrissy and Lucas.

"Can you get me a beer?" Lucas whispered to Y/N and she glared at him, digging daggers into the boy's skull. He retreated back with an innocent smile and shook his head. "Better not."

"You guys arrived in time, they're about to come out!" Dustin announced excitedly and Y/N felt her whole body stiffen. It would be the first time after so long she would see him play. The feelings she gets when he plays on the guitar, and when he sings, levitate into another level. She doesn't know if she will be able to handle it all that well, but she will try. That was until the lights dimmed and the band came out, and Eddie was wearing a tight, crop topped, devil black shirt, his stomach showing, and some black pants tight to his legs. She sighed dreamily as she stared at him, her hormones flying all over the place, her heart wanting to get on stage and jump all around him. It was as if she were in a trance, and all she could see was Eddie.

This will be hard.

"I didn't expect you guys to actually cover Kate Bush." Max giggled happily with stars in her eyes. She turned into a complete new person when the boys covered 'Running up the hill' in a metal version. She yelled, cheered, even went to the front and got Jeff's bass pick as a souvenir of the night.

"Your wishes are our command." Eddie replies to her as he takes a sip of his beer. Everyone was super happy, and cheery, except for Y/N. She was a complete blushing mess. Eddie had decided that the best seat would be next to his ex for some reason. He smelt like his cologne, sweat, and she was feeling the magnetism towards him as she finished her second beer of the night, already ordering a new one. She didn't know what to say, how to act. She felt more nervous than ever and she couldn't control it. She thought she heard someone talk to her and she shook her head as the waitress handed her a new beer.

"What?" She asked while moving her head, not really knowing who talked to her.

"I asked if you're alright." And she turned her head to her left, towards Eddie. She felt her palms sweat as she looked at him, her heart started beating more and more into her chest, staring into his chocolate brown eyes.

"O-Oh, yeah, just been studying a lot." Y/N lied, and took a long sip of her beer to keep the nervousness down. She heard him chuckle under his breath.

"And you're drinking it away?" She knew he wanted to be polite to her, trying to strike a civil conversation, so she had to center herself, had to think and try her best to be as normal as possible towards him.

"That's one way... How is the project for English class going?" She asked him and she heard him groan taking a sip of his own beer now, making her smile at the hypocrisy of the boy.
