"Ready kiddo?" Hailey asked, looking over at Maddy who was rubbing her eyes.
"Not at 5 AM," she mumbled, but sat up and checked her phone.
"You can sleep on the plane, let's go," Hailey chuckled, getting up and pulling Maddy out of bed, "Go get ready, double-check your bags, and be ready by 6:30,"
"Okay," she sighed, getting out of bed and doing as her mother said.
Around 6:20, the Jeep was packed with their suitcases and carry-ons before they both got in and Hailey drove them to the airport.
They soon arrived and went inside, and got their bags all checked before they sat at the gate and waited for their plane to board. Maddy played on her phone beside Hailey, looking at her Facebook and looking at what all of her friends were doing on their spring break.
"Your friends going places too?" Hailey asked, knowing that was what her daughter was looking at.
"Yeah. Abs family is going to California, we're going to Daytona, Jamie's going to Florida too," she listed off, looking through her Facebook.
"I'm ready to have a week off to spend with just my girl,"
"Me too mama," she smiled, looking over at her, "does dad know?"
"He can see the bank account honey," she chuckled, "he does know,"
Maddy smiled again and pulled up her texts with Jay, starting a new one.

She set her phone back in her lap shocked to pick it back up and see a text from her father.

She grinned again, getting the camera pulled up on her phone and taking a selfie with Hailey. She smiled at it and started a new album of her pictures titled "Daytona with Mommy!". She stuck the photo in the album before pulling up her texts with Jay again.

"Come on. We're boarding. Get your bag," Hailey told her, getting her own carry-on.
"Let's go!" She smiled, picking up her own bag.
They got on the plane and got in their seats, both of them waiting for the plane to take off.
Maddy slept with her head on Hailey's shoulder for most of the 2-and-a-half-hour flight. They landed around 3 PM (Florida time), both of them ready to spend the rest of the day on the beach.
They got their luggage, rented a car, and headed to the hotel where they quickly changed and headed out of their room to the beach.
"It's only 50 degrees in Chicago and it's almost 80 here. It's so nice!" Maddy smiled, taking pictures of the beach. "And we're in the same timezone as dad,"
"We are?" She asked, looking at her phone, "I guess we are,"
"I have it on my homepage," the teen chuckled, getting the camera up again, "Come on, first picture of Daytona,"
Both of them smiled at Maddy snapped another selfie, adding it to her album before they both headed to the water. They spent 3 hours on the beach and in the sun before they went back to the hotel, ordered room service, and watched a movie together.
Maddy fell asleep quickly after the movie ended, and snuggled into Hailey's side like normal.
"Love you, baby girl," Hailey smiled, pulling the blanket over her and falling asleep herself.
