(Three): mischievous red fluffball

"Well, I trust you too, Hu Tao." I smiled warmly

"Thank you... *Yawn*"

"Good night."

"Gwood nighwsfg"

She fell asleep mid-sentence.

"At least I could understand what she said..."

I laid in bed for 10 more minutes, but I could not manage to fall asleep.

"Ugh... What a nuisance."

I took a paper sheet and wrote "I'm outside." In big, red letters, and then I put it on the desk.

"Ugh... I went outside but I still have no idea on what to do... Maybe I should go hang out with Xiao? He doesn't sleep anyways..."

I looked towards the Wangshu Inn.

"Nah, it's too far. He's probably out fighting demons anyways... Maybe I should just-"

"Heya!"

"Hu...Tao...? Eh? Weren't you asleep?"

"Not anymore! Now tell me, was it a dream or...?"

"Depends on what you're talking about."

"You know what I'm talking about!" She pouted

"Well, no, it was not."

"Yay! Then, to reward you for your kind words, I will give you a 15% discount on your funeral!"

"That's... Thanks, I guess... Anyways, what do you want to do?"

"Uhmmmm... I don't know, we can just hang out in the Harbour if you want."

"That's ok for me, do you know any cool places?"

*Slam*

A seemingly drunken man waddled out of a bar.

He stopped in front of Hu Tao and mumbled something. His voice sounded rough and crude, like he had just drank enough alcohol to permanently damage his vocal cords.

"Hey, *Hic* cutie, You wanna have a good time?" He put a hand on Hu Tao's shoulder

"No, thanks." The girl quickly hid behind me.

"Com- *Hic* come onn! I swear I'm an animal in bed!"

"I... I already told you, I'm not interested."

"Oh, I know y- *Hic* you pretty girls all say that just because you want us true men to be more perseverant!"

"I swear if this guy continues I'm going to do his funeral tomorrow." The girl grabbed my arm, and I finally understood what I had to do.

*Death stare*

"*Hic* it's getting quite cold, come on, my covers will warm you."

I cleared my throat very loudly.

He finally noticed my presence, and then he looked at me from head to toe, before realizing that Hu Tao was holding onto my arm.

"Hey! You! Who told *hic* you that you could just take my girl like that? And stop looking at me like that! You- *hic* it gives me chills."

"Your girl? Ugh... You really are sickening" I kept my death stare on him

The man reached out to grab Hu Tao

*Slap*

I lightly slapped his hand to stop him.

"Why'd you *hic* do that!?"

"Really, really sickening. Come on, Hu Tao, let's go."

"Wow~ what a brave man~ want to take me out to dinner sometime? Hehe~" she was still holding onto my arm

"He can't hear you, we're too far."

"Who said I wanted him to hear~?" She said with a mischievous look on her face

*Blush*

"Hmmm, maybe, but such a pretty girl needs a really elegant date."

*Blush*

"Y- you were not supposed to flirt back!"

"Hehe, why wasn't i? You just got what you asked for."

"I did not ask for it!"

I chuckled a bit, before patting her head for a second or two

"Now let's go home, shall we?"

*Aggressive blushing*

"Wh-why do you-"

I chose to ignore her and start heading home

"Hey! Wait for me!"

In front of the bedroom door

"I noticed you didn't say anything about that guy's age, do you like older boys?" I teased her

"He looked pretty young to me, I don't know what you're talking about"

"He was definitely around 30, he even had an engagement ring."

"Wha-"

"How old do you think I am?" I was amused by her inability to understand people's ages

"Uhhh, I dunno, like, almost 15?"

"16."

"EH?! I thought you'd be younger than me!"

"How old did you think yanfei was?"

"I thought she was almost 15!"

"I don't know if I should take this as an insult or as a compliment, so I'll just go to bed, good night."

"Good night."
