"sorry, mother." she looked down. Tonowari had finally walked up to Ronal and put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

he then put his other on her belly. "calm down." he told her. Ronal breathed in and out and sighed shaking her head.

Tonowari sighed and moved his hands. he faced her daughter with a stern look. the tears started coming back as soon as Y/n saw his face.

"you have disappointed me, daughter." Tonowari shook his head.

"no, dad." Y/n let a few tears slip and her voice started to break. Ao'nung wrapped an arm around Tsireya as she was worried for her sisters state.

"you mated before iknimaya." Tonowari started. "and with an outsider."

Y/n looked down and let out a quiet sob. "dad, please."

"no!" Tonowari yelled. Y/n and Tsireya jumped back. it's not like Tonowari to yell, usually he would be stern but he would never raise his voice at his kids. "Y/n, we gave you direct orders and you disobeyed them."

"dad, come on." Ao'nung stepped in. Y/n picked up her head and smiled through her tears. she still had her brother.

"Ao'nung, back." Tonowari glared at his son. Ao'nung hesitated but backed away back to Tsireya. he gave Y/n a look and she smiled thoughtfully to him.

"you are not to see him anymore." Ronal spoke again.

"what?" Y/n gasped. "you can't do that." she frowned.

"i am your mother. i can and i will." Ronal stepped up next to her husband. "the Sullys are off the island."

"what, no!" Y/n protested. Ronal started to walk out of the pod but Y/n grabbed her arm. "you can't do that!"

Ronal whipped around and glared at her daughter. "if i see you or if anyone sees you being close with the Sullys, they are off."

"that's not fair, mom." Y/n sobbed. "i love Neteyam." she put a hand over her heart. "he is my mate whether you like it or not." her tone was now changing from sad to a more angry one.

"well, i don't like it, Y/n." Ronal shook her head. "you are not to see him." she ordered and walked away to her room.

"dad!" Y/n sobbed and pointed to the direction her mom walked off to.

"listen to your mother." Tonowari told her daughter and walked into the same room.

when they were gone, Y/n covered her mouth and sobbed into it. Tsireya and Ao'nung quickly ran to her side as she slid down to the ground.

Y/n leaned her head on Tsireyas shoulder as Ao'nung and her rubbed Y/n's arms and tried to comfort her by whispering comforting words to her.

Tsireya started rocking her back and forth. she kissed the top of her head and leaned her head on hers. "you're going to be okay."

"no, i'm not." Y/n sobbed.

"hey." Ao'nung spoke. "you're going to be fine, we will help you." he told her.

"how will you help me?" Y/n sniffed and wiped away a couple of her tears.

"um... uh..." Ao'nung stuttered. "we will..." he looked at Tsireya for help who just shrugged her shoulders. Ao'nung sighed and looked at his younger sister.

he saw her tear stained face and grimaced. "we will help you with Neteyam." he said. "we will help you meet him without anyone seeing you two."

"really?" Y/n smiled and sobbed again.

"really." Tsireya grabbed her shoulders. Y/n tilted her head up and looked at her. "because we are your siblings. we want you to be happy."

Y/n laughed and sat up. she wrapped her arms around their shoulders and hugged them. "i love you, guys."
