Peggy stopped reading.

"Peggy, we have some visitors. Would you like to talk with them for a moment?"

"Billy wants me to read now." Peggy claimed as she continued to read from her book, "'It's not sand; it's dark...'"

Mulder held up a hand to Star to let her know to stay with Scully, Scully taking the girl's hand in her own. Mulder knelt down in front of Peggy "Does he like it when you read to him?"

"Yes. Billy needs me close,"

Mulder walked back to the doctor. "Doctor. I'm wondering if we can do a cursory medical exam on Peggy,"

Peggy threw down the book she was reading, tipped over the food tray, and started wheeling around.

"Peggy?" The Nurse called out, "Oh, Peggy, what are you doing?"

"Get an orderly," Doctor Glass told the nurse.

Peggy grabbed her nose and started screaming.

Star hurried over to Mulder and hugged his leg, Mulder feeling the girl shake like a leaf.

Mulder brushed Star's hair with his hand "No one is going to hurt you," he soothed.

Peggy moved her hand away from her nose, and was covered with blood and her face. She fell forward off the chair and onto the floor.

"This is an emergency." Glass said "Get an orderly, get an orderly." He looked at Peggy "Nobody is going to hurt you. The nurse is here,"

Mulder took the opportunity to lift up the back of Peggy's shirt.

Peggy had the bumps.

Mulder looked at Scully, who looked back in shock.

"I'm ringing for the orderlies now," The nurse proclaimed.

"Stop it! Stop!" Peggy pleaded.

Mulder decided he had seen enough and picked up Star, and walked out.

Scully followed quickly after them. "How did you know that girl would have the marks?" she questioned.

"I don't know, lucky guess?" Mulder shrugged.

"Damn it, Mulder, cut the crap. What is going on here? What do you know about those marks? What are they?"

"Why? So you can put it down in your little report? I don't think you're ready for what I think,"

"I'm here to solve this case, Mulder; I want the truth,"

"The truth?" Mulder's gaze went down to Star. "I think those kids have been abducted,"

"By who?"

"By what,"

"You don't believe that?"

"Do you have a better explanation?" Mulder challenged.

"I'll buy that girl is suffering some kind of pronounced psychosis. Whether it's organic or the result of those marks, I can't say. But to say that they've been riding around in flying saucers, it's crazy, Mulder; there is nothing to support that,"

"Nothing scientific, you mean,"

"There has got to be an explanation. You've got four victims. All of them died in or near the woods. They found Karen Swenson's body in the forest in her pajamas, ten miles from her house. How did she get there? What were those kids doing out there in the forest,"

Scully, Mulder, and Star walked through the forest, carrying flashlights.
