Y/n sighed in defeat as her Akula didn't show. she didn't know what type of calling she should use to call for an Akula, no one ever needs to.

"princess, come on." Neteyam beckoned her. "i don't think he's going to show." he reached out his hand for her to take.

Y/n looked over the ocean again before reaching towards Neteyams hand.

Y/n's hand was centimetres away from his when, all of a sudden, she was lifted out of the water. "Y/n!" Neteyam yelled as he watched the girl.

Y/n screamed and looked down. she soon saw her Akula in the water down below and smiled. "yeah!" she cheered and dropped down into the ocean.

the families watched as Y/n submerged on top of an Akula. Ronal held a proud smile while Tonowari stared with a worried expression.

"we might have another announcement to make at their ceremony." Ronal smiled. "Akula Makto has returned."

"whoa!" Tuk laughed and shook Kiris shoulders. Kiri watched in amazement and tapped her Ilu to swim closer to Y/n.

Lo'ak tapped Spider to held on while he followed Kiri and Tuk. "look at that, cuz!"

Jake and Neytiri shared a look. Neytiri put her head on her husbands shoulder and sighed happily, her family was safe and sound.

Neteyam nervously smiled and waved his hand. Höpe'te looked at Neteyam and then looked away with a grunt.

Y/n only shook her head. "he's... not used to you." she turned her head to the side and looked Höpe'te in the eyes. "be nice." she whispered.

Y/n smiled proudly and sat down on the Akula. "when you guys were escaping from the Skypeople and i was swimming away with the device, i got caught by an Ikran and was dropped into the middle of the ocean."

everyone looked at Y/n with their full attention while she told them the story. "and while i was swimming, Höpe'te came." she patted her animal.

"at first i thought that he was going to eat me, but he showed no signs in doing so. he tilted his head to the side to let me get to his queue and i just connected them."

"wow." Tuk awed. Kiri smiled at the Akula and brushed her fingertips against his skin.

"alright, kids!" Jake shouted. they all turned their heads to the two parents. "let's move out!" he waved his hand.

the children smiled and started riding to the village. Y/n held out her hand to Neteyam. "hey, get on." she told him.
