Promises

Marie noticed her dads stare, giving him a smile she climbed up his chair and onto his lap.

"Daddy, can I play outside. Pleaseeeeeee?" Marie asked squishing the left side of her face in Jakes chest. Her head craned up.

"Nooooooo," Jake answered mocking her tone. It was too dangerous for her to go outside alone.

"But it's so boring in here," Marie huffed crossing her arms, "If someone goes with me Can I go?"

Jake made a thinking face just to rile up Marie, "daddyyyyyy."

"Only if someone goes with you," Jake caved laughing at Marie's excited face.

"Norm! Norm! Let's go outside!"

After much nagging and begging Norm let up and was out walking with Marie. Trudy tagging along to "keep them safe." Even the 5 year old could see how Trudy ogled Norm, and the way Norm would blush and trip over her burning stare.

"You love that camera don't ya kid?" Trudy asked above a crouched Marie who was snapping as many pictures as she could. Patel gifted her a new camera when she told him that the first was was lost.

"Mhmmm," Marie hummed, concentrated on her photography, before a mischievous thought came to mind.

"Norm, stand next to Trudy I'm gonna take a picture!" Marie grinned innocently, instructing with her hands on where she wanted them and how to pose.

Norm was getting progressively redder as Marie's poses became more intimate. Trudy was having a blast, what a great wing woman!

"Are you done, Marie?" The lanky scientist asked, but it came out with a stutter. The little girl had instructed them to take a picture next to a flower and have their faces as close together as they could. Despite the air masks they were both wearing, Norm felt like he could feel Trudy's breath on his face.

Marie started feeling bad, so she let Norm off the hook, "yeah im done."

"Alright let's head back you two, we've been out here for almost two hours," Trudy said walking back to the site. The walk back was like 10 minutes. They had ventured out much to Trudy's dismay, she didn't like being so far out with two people as defenseless as Norm and Marie.

Norm grabbed the water he brought with him and Marie's little bag, "come on you," he said playfully tugging on Marie's little ear as she zoned in on her camera roll.

Marie followed the two adults before realizing she left Piglet behind, "Wait! I left Piglet!"

Before the two adults could stop her, she turned back sprinting the way she came.

"No! Wait Marie!"

The two adults went running back but lost her among all the plant life, "dammit, Jakes going to kill us," Norm cried. His human limbs fighting against Pandoras greenery.

"Marie, this isn't cool, come back! We'll find your piggie later!" Trudy yelled, the weapon she brought with her in her hands. They were in a safe area, but you never now what can come up with making too much noise.
