After three days of waiting in anticipation, the morning of Thursday arrived with a flurry of messages from my friend inquiring about the results. However, I overslept that day and missed their initial messages. Hastily, I dialled their number to inform them that I was already on my way to obtaining the results. We agreed to open the envelope together over a phone call since they resided far from my location.
As the minutes ticked away, the sound of the clock served as a reminder that the moment of truth was rapidly approaching. Every tick amplified the tension and suspense
that had been building up within me for the past three days. I could feel my heart racing and my palms becoming increasingly clammy as I inched closer and closer to the revelation that awaited me.
The moment of truth had arrived, and my heart was pounding with a mix of fear and anticipation. The lady in the lab handed me the envelope, and I could feel the weight of its contents in my hands. I knew that this little piece of paper held the key to my future, and I was terrified of what it might say.
Making my way through the lab hallways, clutching the envelope tightly, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the friends who had been by my side throughout this journey. They had been my rock, supporting me every step of the
way, and I knew that I could never repay them enough for their kindness.
As I tore open the envelope, I could feel the tension in the air, as my friends watched on nervously. I took a deep breath and looked down at the test results, and at that moment, my world changed forever.
"NEGATIVVVVVE!!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, unable to contain my joy any longer. It was a sound of pure relief, like that of a person who had been drowning and was finally able to breathe again.
My friends erupted into cheers and tears, their voices ringing out in a chorus of triumph, and we all cried tears of joy together. At that moment, I knew that I was truly blessed to have such incredible people in my life.
Standing there, caught up in the moment, the ladies in the lab joined us in our celebration, smiling and laughing as they shared in our joy. It was a moment that I would never forget, a moment that changed my life forever.
As the day came to a close, I found myself grappling with a mix of emotions. A sense of pride and relief intermingled with anxiety and nervousness. I knew that what I was about to do would change my life forever, but the weight of my decision felt heavier than ever before.
With my heart racing and my palms sweating, I mustered up the courage to call my mom. I wanted to surprise her at work, to share with her the news that would soon transform my world. The sound of her voice on the other end of the line was like a lifeline, grounding me amid my fear and uncertainty.
The taxi ride to her workplace was a blur of nerves and anticipation. I clutched the envelope in my hand, the words inside representing a new beginning, a fresh start. And as I stepped out of the car and made my way towards the entrance, I couldn't help but feel the tears welling up in my eyes.
