Chapter 9: Halloween pt.1

It had been 12 minutes since katsuki sent that message. 'What the hell is he doing?!' Katsuki thought getting impatient.
'Shit, I knew he wouldn't want to put up with this crap"
Katsuki thought, then his phone buzzed once again indicating he got a message.

🤓 Nerd 🤓:you need a sitter?

Katsuki smiled to himself reading the message,

🤓 Nerd 🤓:I know we don't really know each other and aren't really close, but I'd be happy to help.

Bakugou: thanks. Are you free by 5:30?

🤓 Nerd 🤓: Yuppie 👍

Bakugou: here's my address, #### ####

🤓 Nerd 🤓:see you at 5:30 🤝

Katsuki snickered, he found it funny how easy that was. Usually people would ask questions and stuff.

Katsuki put his phone down walking into the bathroom to fix his hair. He still had to tell Sophie that a complete stranger would be watching her on Halloween, not to mention she's probably gonna miss trick or treating.

"Sophie?" Katsuki called, he was fixing his uniform. It was a long sleeve white shirt with rolled up cuffs to his mid-forearm with a striped black and white tie around his neck, it was covered by a sleeveless black vest with his name tag engraved in a silver pin attached to his vest on the right side of his chest, and he wore black khaki dress pants with dark brown loafers.

"Sophie!?" He called once again when there was no response from the young female.

Katsuki left the bathroom going to his daughters room. He knocked, "Soph? Whatcha doing?" No response.
He opened the door to see Sophie with her headphones on over her ears laying on her stomach on the floor colouring.
Katsuki had a tiny iPod that he never used so he kept it for Sophie when she wanted to use it. Katsuki had deleted everything on it so he could fill it up with things she liked to listen to, it was mostly nursery rhymes and a few audiobooks.

"Ugh, gave me a heart attack. Hey, Soph?" Katsuki moved a toy over as he sat on the carpeted floor next to his daughter, gently rubbing her back to get her attention.

"Hmm?" Sophie hummed. She took her headphones off sitting up to face her father that was crisscrossed next to her. "I'm busy colouring" Sophie said annoyed by the male bugging her.

"I can see that. I just need to talk to you about something okay?" Katsuki said gaining her full attention.

"So I have to go to work soon, and Uncle Kiri And Aunt Mina can't stay with you tonight, so I'm having a new friend stay with you.. just for tonight okay?" Katsuki said, "N-No candy?" Sophie said with an upset face fiddling with the hem of her shirt, "I'm gonna try and be home as soon as I can okay. And don't worry, even if I don't get home in time I'll pick us up some candy and we'll watch scary movies for the rest of the night alright." Katsuki said comforting the younger blonde, he started fidgeting with her curly hair, twirling it gently. "I don't like new people..."
Sophie mumbled holding back tears,

"Awe.. I know babes. But don't worry he's really nice, and smart, so I bet he could teach you something new and really cool!" Katsuki said trying to lighten the mood.

Sophie stuck her arms out towards her father asking to be held, which he had no problem with. "C'mere!" Katsuki said pulling Sophie into his grasp.

"Now you already know the rules. No drawing on things other then paper. And definitely do not flush random things, that last plumber bill with ridiculous." Katsuki said sternly, "and no sweets before dinner, you always make yourself sick and never end up eating real food the rest of the night."
