Chapter 14

"Is your name Sachiko?" Illumi asked the girl as he wiped his hand on a handkerchief he carried around. The hunter looked surprised but got up and smiled.

"Yes. Congratulations, you pass this phase," She told him. Illumi nodded his head and looked back at me.

"We can go now. We found my hunter in a day so we have 5 days to find yours. We can find him in a day probably since we finished half the hunters today. Then we have free time. Let's go," Illumi said walking pass me.

"Okay. Thank you for letting us look around," I told the kid, who was standing next to me the whole time.

"No problem. Can I get your name?" He asked smiling at me.

"Y/n. What about yo-" I was interrupted by Illumi pulling my arm and dragging me away.

"Don't talk to him Y/n," Illumi said not even looking at him.

"I was just trying to thank him. Thank you again!" I yell at him hoping he heard because Illumi already dragged me far. We then walked all the way home.

•Timeskip•

"Ima go take a shower," Illumi said, grabbing his stuff.

"Why don't we take a bath? The bath is huge and we don't don't use it. It's like a pool!" I tell him wanting to use the bath.

"You wanna bath.. with me?" Illumi says confused.

"Don't make it weird Illu. Have you never taken a bath with your siblings before?" I ask him giving him a confused face. I don't find it weird because I always take baths with my siblings. It's so much fun especially when you add the pink bubbles.

"I did when I was younger. I guess I can take some with you but afterwards we take a shower separately," Illumi says.

"Obviously. I wanna put the bubbles in though!" I say grabbing my Towel and the pink bottle of bubbles in one of the mirror cabinets.

•Timeskip again•

'This is the best feeling ever'  I sigh as I sink in the tub. I walked all day in the sun, which felt like 1000 degrees, now I'm taking a hot bath with pink bubbles. I relax my arms around the tub sides and close my eyes. I stay like that for a few seconds then open them to see Illumi doing the same thing. I got a plan. I slowly got up from where I was and slowly got close to him. Slash noises can be heard as I dip his head down in the water then bring him back up.

"Never bring yourself open like that around me Illumi," I tell him deviously laughing. I then feel myself underwater for a few seconds then broughten back up again coughing for air. This time Illumi looked at me like the devil. I coughed while laughing trying to breath. "Ima *cough* get you," this time I just splashed him with water and he covered his eyes. He scrunched his nose up a little while doing so. What a cutie.

"Y/n, you're getting water everywhere," Illumi said while settling back into the water.

"Ashh you are no fun," I said relaxing back into my side. We stood there for a few minutes in silence. It wasn't awkward though. Illumi spoke up.

"Y/n," I heard him say my name so softly. I hummed at him for him to continue.

"After this is over and you find a way to get back home, do you think I'll ever see you again?" He asked, eyes still closed. I didn't even think about it. I did think about my siblings and going back home but I never thought if I'll ever see illumi again. I opened my eyes to see illumi putting his head down on the side of the tub. "My head hurts every time I think about it. I don't know why. I think I have become attached to you in a strange way. But I still don't know why. You are loud, annoying, and dress homeless." Ouch.

"I dress fabulous," I interrupted, looking to the side.

"You are delusional that's for sure," Illumi picked up his head so now you can see him. "I just wanted you to know, in case I never see you again after this, that I consider you my real friend," Illumis eyes softened. I didn't know what to say. How does a 12 year old speak like this?

"You are my best friend Illu," I told him and smiled,"I would hug you right now but I would get you're cooties and I would be grossed out," I said still smiling. "But I can tell you this, if I ever find a way to get back here you, I'll find it. Pinky promise you," I told him sticking my finger out. He looked at it and intertwined it with mine.

"Okay. Thank you Y/n. By the way, we should probably get out now. Your finger is getting wrinkly and dry," he said looking at my fingers. I laughed at this.

"Okayy," I told him. We slept in the same bed again this time facing each other.

"Goodnight Y/n," he told me looking at me with those eyes. They didn't remind me of bug eyes this time. They just reminded me of how the sky looked like out right now. Dark with stars.

"Goodnight Illu," I told him smiling.

Yuhh that's it. Btw they wore underwear while bathing and Y/n hasn't uhh developed so yea it doesn't really matter. I bathed like that w my siblings so I think of it as normal. So yea anyways bye bye
