"Yeah?" You ask.
"Dinner." A guard says.
"Cancel it." You say closing your door halfway.
"I would but your mother is joining, as well as the emperor." The guard says catching the door before it shuts.
You stay frozen.
"I-" you mumble.
"Okay. Give me a minute. I'll be there." You say shutting the door.
You pick up the phone and unmute yourself.
"Everything okay?" Cedar asks.
"Yeah, I have to go for dinner." You say.
"Oh no it's okay, I'll see you at school tomorrow!" He says.
"I'll see you, sleep well goodnight!" You say before you hang up the phone.
You frown. Now you need to get dressed because your already in your pajamas. Usually when Belos and Mom are there they want to check up on you and Hunters relationship. Ugh. Also if the emperors there your expected to dress nice. Damn it.
You quickly slide into a simple dress and put your hair up, throw on a nice necklace and boom your out.
You make your way down the corridor into the front of the dining room doors. Hunters already there waiting.
"Let's get this over with." You say grabbing his arm.
He sighs and opens the door, as you walk in arm wrapped around his.
"Aw how adorable, look at you two." Terra smiles, holding her hands together.
Belos doesn't comment.
You force a smile while Hunter just makes a natural expression.
"Have a seat you two." Belos says.
You both take your seats next to one another. One of the guards goes around and serves you all your food.
You drink some of your water glass. And lay your arms against the table. Gosh what do they want now, we're fine.
"Y/n, arms off the table please." Terra says.
"Sorry."
Hunter side eyes you. You glare at him, and it makes him chuckle a little to himself.
"Well? How have things been for you? Hunter?" Belos asks.
"Fine. I've been working on my duties." Hunter says.
"Tell me more." He says.
"Me and the crew battled a basilisk, it's in its prison cell now." Hunter says.
"Interesting." Belos says.
"Difficult?" He asks.
"No, it was fine, I carried the crew." Hunter says.
'He thinks he's so cool' You think to yourself.
"And your studies Y/N?" Belos asks.
"Plants? It's fine. One of my classmates asked for my help on it today." You say
"Your classmates look up to you, wonderful." He smiles.
"And how are you 2?" He asks.
"Fine." You and Hunter both say at the same time.
"Fine? Really? It seems you both canceled about 6 dinners this month." Belos says.
"I've been busy, catching up on school." You say.
