Me: Every once in a while.
Eraserhead: What's their job?
'Shoot. I'm not sure how to answer this.'
Me: I'm not really sure myself, just know that they work for a manufacturing company but are a bit higher up.
Eraserhead: Interesting.
'Fuckkkk I feel like he's not dumb enough to believe that. Well, now I can add him stalking me to my mental list of mistakes.' I laid back down on my bed and sighed.
Eraser's POV
After I saw the kid go into the house I started walking back to my apartment, I was too early for a patrol anyway. I took my phone out to see a text from Zashi
Zashi: Hey sho! How's the kid?
Me: He /looks/ fine, but acted weird when he was walking into his house.
Zashi: Weird how?
Me: Cautious, like he was afraid of something
Zashi: Do you think he's safe at home?
Me: Probably not
Zashi: Poor little listener
Me: I'll probably watch him for a bit
Zashi: Why are you watching him again?
Me: Apparently Hawks or something requested it
Zashi: Hawks? Weird
Me: Yep
Zashi: Well I'll leave you to it :)
Zashi: ly!
Me: Ilyt, Zashi.
Zashi was always the one to use emojis, I don't really get them. While walking back to the apartment the only thing I could think about was the kid, for some reason. I've had missions like these before but It doesn't usually bother me. 'I wonder if he likes cats,- wait why am I thinking this? Ugh. I should probably check up on him.'
I made it back to the apartment, and I did indeed text him. Though it was kind of worrying that he wasn't responding.
I was sitting on the couch grading what was left of my class. 'I should just expel the rest of them.' I heard a notification pop up on my phone. The screen turned on, showing a text from 'Izuku'. I picked my phone up and went to reply. 'At least he replied'
Izuku: I'm okay. Sorry for the late response
Me: No worries kid.
Izuku: Oh and I'm not with the chicken anymore, I got sent home
Me: At least you're not kidnapped by that chicken.
Izuku: I guess. It wasn't that bad there though
Me: Were your parents worried?
The kid didn't answer, although it showed he had read it. I decided to text him again.
Me: Kid?
Izuku: Sorry! I was doing something. What?
'I doubt that.'
Me: I asked if your parents were worried
Izuku: Oh, they didn't know. I was left home alone last night and today, they should get back in a few hours.
'He was left alone for over 24 hours?'
Me: Why were you left alone?
Izuku: They had a quick business trip out of town. Apparently, it was an emergency. Don't worry though, they left me enough money to buy food and stuff.
'All they left was money? And why is he so chill about it?'
Me: Does this happen often, kid?
Izuku: Every once in a while.
Me: What's their job?
'And he's not answering, again. Definitely something up with this kid.'
Izuku: I'm not really sure myself, just know that they work for a manufacturing company but are a bit higher up.
'Yeah, I doubt that. But it was a pretty good lie.'
Eraserhead: Interesting.
We stopped the conversation there, but there were definitely signs of neglect for sure. I mean, you're not supposed to leave your kid alone for over 24 hours.
