Fighting our way together through the guards that would find us as we went, I felt different. Not only in the way that I could now freely use the Force and not hold anything back. But fighting alongside Ahsoka where we could both channel it to our advantage, it was like nothing I thought I would ever experience. As I yanked back the staff with one hand and used the other to force-shove another guard back, Ahsoka ducked underneath my arm to parry an incoming blow that was aimed at me. She followed up with a force jump up in front of me to stab the droid from above as I intercepted the third one attempting to grapple her. For a split second, when everything seemed to slow down in the midst of our fighting, I almost believed that she was my padawan. That I had been her Master who trained her and could now see all of her hard work pay off in real use. She had become almost complete in the ways of a Jedi, and I felt an immense pride swell in my chest. Ahsoka had come so far.
"What's wrong?" her voice intercepted my train of thought and I hadn't realised that the last guard was down, for now.
Blinking back to the present I shuffled my feet and rolled my shoulders, "Nothing, nothing, just... yeah no, forget it. Let's keep moving."
"(Y/N)."
I blinked. I had never heard her call my name so sternly, now I felt like the mischievous young padawan being caught in my prank. Turning to look at her I simply raised an eyebrow in response.
"Remember what we talked about?"
I keep forgetting that she's not a kid anymore. I sighed and as we moved further down the hallway I caved in, "Just, I know it won't mean anything to you now... But for what it's worth, I'm really proud of you, Ahsoka. You've come really far in your training and grown so much."She kept her eyes to our surroundings, seeming very serious, especially by the tone of her voice when she spoke previously. So when she let out a quiet chuckle I was surprised to say the least, "I guess I have, I'm almost taller than you now."
Laughter bubbled up from me in relief at the fact that she was comfortable enough around me to crack jokes again.
"Don't tell that to Fives, he'll never let me hear the end of it." glancing over I saw her giggling at the thought of how he would torment me with that fact at any given moment. She will definitely tell him as soon as we get back. Just hope I'm there to hear it. The bitter thought was enough to make me glance away, feign the look of keeping an eye out for more guards. I was going to keep my promise to her, at all costs.
Even if it means giving my own life.

Hello there!
Wow okay so, a few things to mention quickly:
1. I apologise for not uploading anything for an entire month. The last of Uni and spending time with the people I had gotten to know took up all of my time before I had to move back home. And now that I'm back home, well there are a lot of personal stuff going on with me and some other family members that has been taking a mental toll on me. So whilst I am truly sorry for not saying anything or uploading, I didn't want to push myself to write a shitty chapter. I care about all of you readers that have stuck to the story since I started posting and all of you new readers that have been catching up on everything to this point. So I don't want to give you guys bad chapters just for the sake of posting, I want you to actually enjoy the story.
2. As mentioned above, I am now home again from the Uni course and it's nice but also sad and strange. I got used to living in the other city so quickly that I felt at home there and got to know so many new wonderful people there. So to be back home is sad since I can't see my friends over there. But strange at the same time since it feels like I never left home to start with.
3. I wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone of you that leave comments on this story. Whether it's something funny, a reaction to what you just read or jumping onto the "we need more rum but Jack keeps drinking it all"-train, I absolutely adore reading them all. They always make me smile, they keep me motivated to keep the story going and to keep going just in general. So thank you, thank you so much for all of your lovely comments! <3
And as always until next time, remember to take care of yourself and stay safe!
Love, the Author <3
