Acacia and Carson were running a little late due to traffic, but surprisingly they made it just in time and joined the rest of the family to celebrate Willow's high school graduation ceremony.
They hurriedly sat down next to each other on their designated seats, in the school's auditorium, just as the principal took the stage to start the program.
All of Willow's loved ones were present for the special milestone and they were very proud of her for sticking it out and graduating with honors.
DeMario was one of the first students to be called up on stage. Everyone cheered him on while he made his way over to the podium. They were just as excited for him as they were for Willow.
"Willow Monet Thornton," the announcer finally called out her name and they all erupted in a round of applause and cheered loudly while she received her diploma.
Acacia, Carson and Delano got out of their seats while Mr. Thornton captured the beautiful moment on his phone. Willow struck a little pose for the cameras before making her way off the podium.
The graduation ceremony ended shortly after and the group made their way to their next destination soon after.
"You don't gotta worry about me. I can control myself," Carson told Acacia while they were being seated in the restaurant for Willow's graduation dinner.
As chance would have it they were seated across from Kevin. None of them had been in the same vicinity since Carson and Kevin's fight months ago.
Coincidentally this would also be the first time that Carson was in the presence of Acacia's parents, so this added extra pressure to the situation.
Even though he'd just promised that he wouldn't be disruptive it took everything in him not to confront Kevin. He had potentially cost him millions of dollars by leaking the tape of their little dust up.
Carson continued to stare daggers at Kevin while the latter was clearly uncomfortable and actively avoiding eye contact.
Delano was also unhappy with Kevin's presence and his annoyance was written all over his face. The last time the two friends spoke they got into a heated argument and there was even talk about ending their business relationship, but they were unable to come to an amicable agreement.
Willow and Mr. and Mrs. Thornton were the only ones oblivious to the growing tension, but everyone decided to play it cool for Willow's sake. None of them wanted to ruin her special day.
Acacia couldn't figure out the reason why Kevin decided to attend the dinner after everything that had transpired. Kevin in turn decided to accept Willow's invitation because he was like a brother figure to her and wanted to help her celebrate her accomplishment.
