Freen's Pov
It’s been three days since we started practicing with Becky and Irin. During that time, Becky’s been really into the challenge she accepted—to make me smile.
Well... I did smile. But only in my mind.
"Freen, can we talk?" Noey asked.
We were the only ones who arrived early at the academy today.
"Sure," I said.
"Don’t you remember anything yet?" Noey asked.
"Not yet. But I keep getting this strange feeling—especially when I’m with Becky," I said.
"You know, this moment right now? It’s just like the first day of school this year. Standing by the window, watching students arrive… and you, looking at Becky walking with her friends," Noey said.
"Be honest with me, Noey. What’s the real connection between me and Becky?" I asked.
"Your head might start hurting, Freen. Just like how you said Becky’s head hurts sometimes. We don’t want to push it," Noey said.
"I just... want to know," I said.
I looked out the window and saw Becky arriving with the others. I sat back down and placed a hand on my chest.
"See? I told you," Noey said softly.
"It’s not my head that hurts—it’s my heart. It’s like... I can feel it beating faster," I said.
"I really shouldn’t say this," Noey said.
"If you don’t, I’ll make you clean all the instruments in the studio," I said.
"Oh, come on, Freen," Noey said.
"Your choice, Noey. You said me and Becky could ask," I said, laughing a little.
"And now you’re laughing—but still not smiling. Fine. First promise me you’ll have my back if the others, especially Irin, corner me," Noey said.
"I promise. So, tell me," I said.
"After you talked with Becky on the rooftop, you started crushing on her—for more than a year. That crush turned into love," Noey said.
"So that’s why I feel shy and nervous around her. Especially when she pinched my cheek and hugged me," I said.
"Wait—she pinched your cheek and hugged you? This is good news, Freen!" Noey said.
"Yeah. She did that when I took her home on our first day back at school. I stayed over because I ended up playing with Bonbon. She hugged me while sleeping... said she was scared of having nightmares," I said.
"Did she remember you? Even a little?" Noey asked.
"I don’t think so. She challenged herself to make me smile because she wants to see me smile more. She only sees me smile in the pictures on her laptop and phone," I said.
"We noticed that too—you haven’t smiled lately. That’s why Becky’s always been by your side these past three days," Noey chuckled.
"Okay, to summarize: I loved Becky. Then what?" I said.
"We became close with their group. After we revealed ourselves during the sportsfest, you confessed to her that night on the rooftop. You told her you were Uno… and that you liked her. You asked if you could court her—and you’d already been doing it for four months before the incident," Noey said.
"So the December concert… you want us to experience it all again?" I asked.
"I’m telling you this because I want your cooperation, Freen. During our first practice, you said a few things exactly the way you did before. Maybe I’m the one who thought of this whole 'experience-the-memories-again' plan," Noey said.
